1 Agonda Beach

South Goa District, Agonda, Goa403001, India

Agonda Beach is one of the rare solitarybeaches in South Goa and is a far cry fromits cousin, Palolem Beach, which sees amajority of tourists. The Caribbean cultureseems to have swept over the place, withthe locals often seen basking on the sunlitbeach. Even though the beach is sparsely

populated, you will find a lot of bars andrestaurants where you can simply relax andenjoy the sunset. Much larger than manyother beaches of Goa, Agonda is a haven forsolitude seekers, with soft music oftenplaying in the background and palm treesswaying in the wind. It's also famous as aRidley Turtle Nesting Sight - another reasonthat makes it more subdued than otherbeaches.

2 Palolem Beach

Chaudi, Canacona, South Goa403702, India

Just a few miles from the neighbouring stateof Karnataka, Palolem Beach isthe southernmost beach of south Goa. Likeany other beach in thearea, Palolem doesn’t seemuch of the tourist traffic. During weekdays, this beach is next to empty with one or twofishermen going about their business. Onweekends the beach sees a tad moreactivity, but only slightly so. Hardly any

tourist makes it to this end of Goa. Hence, with vast empty stretches of shimmeringgolden stands studded with coconut andpalm groves, this virgin beach is ideal for aromantic tryst or for a relaxing picnic withthe family.

3 Mandrem Beach

The sun sinking into the sea in all itsred blazing glory, and the silhouettes of thefishermen throwing open their nets, cometogether to create a vivid image in yourmind.

Since it's not that popular, you won’t find alot of shacks on this beach. There is one atthe main beach entrance called the Mama’skitchen, one next to Club Mahindra andanother opposite hotel Zuri.
