The Automobility Program at FCA US LLC was the first in the industry to help ease the financial burden of dr ivers with physical challenges, offer ing up to $1,000 cash reimbursement for expenses related to adaptive equipment. ASSESS YOUR NEEDS. Before visiting your participating dealership, stop by your local assessment center (you can call our hotline at (800) 255-9877 to locate a center near you) for a professional driving evaluation and determination for adaptive equipment. Also check with your state’s driver’s licensing agency for any special local requirements for driving with adaptive equipment.

YOU HAVE OPTIONS.If you or your loved one can easily navigate in a wheelchair, a basic two-door vehicle with room behind the seats (to store a collapsible wheelchair) and power seats (to enable easier entry) may work very well. You are not necessarily restricted to a minivan or truck — many modifications can be made to other FCA US LLC vehicles.

WE CAN HELP WITH FINANCING. The FCA Automobility Program cash reimbursement may be available to help with the cost of adaptive equipment. This is in addition to other eligible incentive programs in effect at the time of purchase or lease. Additionally, many services and organizations provide funding for adaptive equipment, which can significantly reduce the cost of your new wheels.

FAQSREIMBURSEMENTQ: What is the time limit for this reimbursement?A: The adaptive equipment must be installed within six months of vehicle purchase or lease. A claim form and all associated paperwork must be submitted to Automobility Program Headquarters within 60 days of complete installation of adaptive equipment. Q: Can this program be used as a rebate and applied to the purchase or lease price of the vehicle?A: No. This is a reimbursement to the customer after the adaptive equipment is installed and paid for.

Q: Can I use this reimbursement in addition to other FCA US LLC incentives?A: Automobility reimbursements are available to customers and may be in addition to any other applicable FCA US LLC cash or lease incentive programs in effect at the time you buy or lease your new vehicle. Also, the Automobility reimbursement will not be affected by any additional outside funding you may secure to help cover the costs of your vehicle conversion.

FINANCINGQ: Can you help finance the adapted vehicle I purchase/lease?A: Our dealers can assist in the finance process for the cost of your new vehicle, as well as any modifications you make to it. Conventional financing is available; see your dealer for details.

EQUIPMENTQ: Does factory optional equipment qualify for this program?A: No. Factory optional equipment is not reimbursable under the Automobility Program.

Q: Do I need a prescription or note from my doctor?A: For running boards, alerting devices and other similar type adaptations, you’ll need to provide a prescr iption or medical documentation on a physician’s letterhead. However, for many adaptations, such as hand controls and wheelchair or scooter hoists, you are not required to provide a medical note or prescr iption from a doctor.

Q: Does the equipment have to be installed by a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Ram® or FIAT® dealer?A: No. The equipment may be installed by any reputable and qualified adaptive equipment dealer selected by the customer. FCA US LLC recommends any major structural modifications be completed by a factory-approved vehicle conversion company, which is also a member of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA).

VEHICLESQ: Does this program apply to used vehicles?A: No. This program only covers new vehicles.

Q: Does this program apply to leased vehicles?A: Yes. New vehicles which are leased for a minimum of 12 months are eligible for reimbursement.
