Sea Freight Services provided by us:The vast majority of household, industrial, consumable, toys goods and personal effectsmoved internationally are sent by sea aboard modern containerized vessels. Generallythis is the most economical way of forwarding goods. However, there are differingservice levels available in this category. In moving goods internationally, like mostthings, there are usually several options available depending on the level of serviceprovided, the length of time taken for the journey and the reliability and frequency of theocean carrier.

With this in mind we are able to offer three different shipping methods to get yourpossessions to your new destination, depending on your volume and budget. The threemethods that we use for sea shipments are:

Sea freight shipping methods

Consolidated / grouped shipment

This is when we group clients’ shipments together to fill acontainer before loading the container onto a vessel. We build abulk head between each client’s shipments in the container, toensure they are separated during transit. On arrival at thedestination, the container is unloaded and each client’sshipment separated for delivery. Generally this is the mosteconomical way of sending your shipment, as the ocean freight

for the whole container is shared and you pay only the portion related to the volume ofgoods you ship.

Less than a container load

For this method of shipment we build a plywood crate (known asa “liftvan”) around your goods after packing. The liftvan is thenloaded, as is, into a container bound for your new destinationcountry. We would use this method for small volume shipments todestinations that have low traffic and where we cannot arrange aconsolidated container for shipment.

Full container load – 20’, 40’, 40’ HC, 45’

There are four different types of containers and we willchoose the one that best suits your moving

requirements. Once we have loaded the container at your residence or as close to yourresidence as possible, we will seal the container and it will not be opened again until itarrives for customs inspection at its destination.Transit times vary, depending on the final destination.We participates in some of the largest global freight contracts enabling us to give youcompetitive prices without affecting our quality.

Sea transport is most appropriate for large consignments that are non-urgent. Transittimes on the water vary depending on the final destination. You can expect shipmentsfrom Asia to take up to 5 -7 weeks for Europe, Australasia 10-15 weeks, and the US WestCoast and 20-25 weeks for North Atlantic.

The cubic volume is based on the total space inside a container. Please note that theloaded volume will be less due to space taken up in the loading of irregularly shapedhousehold items. This is reflected in the loaded capacity.
