• Global nursing shortage leads to increased demand for nursing education
• Faculty shortage results from many factors– Increased demand for nurses– Need for higher education for faculty where PhD
programs may not be available
Aging Population
• Leads to increased demand for nursing services
• Faculty are also aging

• Faculty must meet the needs/requests of a variety of stakeholders
