  • SUBSPECIALTY CODE (SSC) UPDATES Subspecialty codes have two tracks: Education and Experience. Education: recently completed an advanced degree, board certification, or other advanced training, you may need to update the subspecialty code accordingly. Requested through PERS-45E or through the command. Link located on records management document. Experience: If you served in a billet that meets the Core/Skill/Requirements, you may earn the subspecialty code through submission of a package. Contact MILL_PERS45E for more information. Additional Qualification Designation (AQD)- your detailer is responsible for updating your AQD.

  • WHEN TO CHANGE YOUR SSC Once you achieve 1 st anniversary in a specialty area codes suffix changes from E to S Completed an SG approved course (ex. ECCO) SSC with a V suffix 4 th (cumulative) anniversary in a specialty area codes suffix changes from S to R Certification in a specialty area SSC with a K suffix Masters in field SSC with P suffix *** Masters in field & Certification SSC with Q suffix *** Once you move to a different specialty area Primary SSCs are to reflect where you are currently assigned

  • EDUCATION Refer to instructions on handout to add academic degrees to the ODC/OSR. To have your formal education updated, sealed transcripts directly from the university must be sent to the address provided in instructions. Additions/changes to the databases takes 45-60 days to appear in the OMPF. Only certain service schools (courses) listed in the (NOOCS manual) may be added to the ODC/OSR.

  • AWARDS Awards Office established and maintains the Navy Department Awards Web Services (NDAWS). Check NDAWS for awards by going to the NDAWS public website: https://awards.navy.mil If member changed their last name, a separate query by the previous last name will be required. DO NOT e-mail your awards to NPC unless they are already entered into NDAWS. See command Awards dept to update NDAWS.

  • OFFICER PHOTO Photographs are required of all active duty, regardless of status, in current grade MED PHOTO DEPT- GROUND FLOOR: provides correct form on which to submit photographs. Attach the photo, sign & date, and mail to: see instructions for address. To verify a current photograph has been entered into the permanent record, log into OMPF. Also, be sure and sign the bottom of the form before sending!

  • FITNESS REPORTS 2-3 month lag time for reports to appear in your record. Missing a fitness report (more than 6 months old), or have an error in your record regarding a fitness report contact PERS-32 customer service. Requests for administrative changes to submitted fitness reports can be requested by letter to PERS-32; members can request corrections of obvious errors to blocks 1-19 and blocks 21 to 27 by submitting a letter requesting the corrections. Changes to other blocks on the fitness report must be requested by the reporting senior that signed the original report.
