• Probable origin of Pseudodiaptomus serricaudatus in Italy:- Asian coastal waters- African coastal waters- Red Sea (Lessepsian migration)

• Probable modes of introduction: aquaculture, ballast water of ship

• So far no evidence of competition for food with local demersal calanoids or other species

• Pseudodiaptomus is expanding its territory in the subtropical and temperate regions of America and Europe, probably also elsewhere
