4TH DECEMBER 2010 GLOBAL CLIMATE CAMPAIGN www.globalclimatecampaign.org Global Day of Action Building a global movement to confront the ultimate global crisis. The science is increasingly clear that we have only a few years to stop and reverse the global growth in emissions to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. Since it is the poorest who will suffer most and soonest while the rich have the highest emissions, bear the greatest responsibility and have the greatest power to act, climate change has become the biggest issue of global social justice of our times. The Copenhagen talks showed the failure of world leaders to address the crisis and the need for people all around the world to come together to push for internationally coordinated action on climate that is immediate, radical and fair. As governments come together to address the issue once again in Cancun, Mexico, we need the most powerful expression possible of the global will for action on climate and justice for those who will otherwise be its countless victims. There has been a Global Day of Action at the time of the annual UN Climate talks since 2005, with demonstrations and events all around the world up to 90,000 strong. Last year during the Copenhagen talks there were thousands of events including just about every country in the world with 100,000 demonstrating in Copenhagen itself, and 100,000 marching in Australia, 50,000 in the UK etc…. You can find out who is involved in your country at www.globalclimatecampaign.org, and you can contact them or you can organise something yourselves. Global Day of Action

Building a global movement to confront the ultimate global crisis.
