Low Latency Colt has selected transatlantic routes with low latencies; where linked with our European network the proposition strengthens further

Diversity The option to avoid New York and/or London, and the ability to route via Boston for fastest route to London, or via Newark to Paris and beyond

Fixed RoutingBoth worker and protect paths are fixed, giving predictable latency figures. The protect paths have similar latencies to the worker paths (6% maximum variance)

Service Levels Colt will monitor circuits end-to-end and have dedicated teams for service delivery and service assurance. Target lead time from 20 days

Topologies As well as point-to-point circuits, Colt’s Hub and Spoke and E-PN services will be available

Enhanced Resilience

In addition to each transatlantic cable being protected, enhanced resilience options available (GOLD and PLATINUM)

A guaranteed specification end-to-end. Large frame support, VLAN transparency, Ethernet protocol transparency, Class of Service

Ethernet demarcation device benefits

Provides end-to-end monitoring right up to the customer’s equipment using standards-based Ethernet OAM, enabling improvement to service availability

Availability

Improved service delivery SLA with reduced site visits through single-ended commissioning via remote loop-back capability

Installation

Support of performance reporting, flexible interface options, Class of Service, jumbo frame for both on-net/off-net

Enhanced features

Low-level end-to-end diagnostic capabilities drive improved TTR and fault management SLA

TTR

Sophisticated traffic-shaping and rate-limiting capabilities can support service features such as rapid bandwidth upgrade where OLO tail capacity is available

Upgrades

Native Ethernet and Fibre but also ‘legacy-but-ubiquitous’ E1/E3 – these are also the only regulated services in some countries
