You may be aware that a planning application wm made for 100

dwellings on the site in late 2013. The plan on the back of thisleaflet shows how this alternative scheme could be providedwith a reduced the amount of dwellings (approximately hal0and significant\ increased the amount of open space andlandscaping.

'We think that westem parts of the could provide a large area ofpublic open space with some residential development adjacentto the existing housing in hndon Road. This layout wouldretain the existing mature trees and allow for new planting and a

large parkland area for existing and future residents. There may

also be opportunities to enhance existing recreation facilitiesand provide links to the recreation ground.

New native planting and the development of specievrichgnsslands could help to strengthen the particular ecologieldiversity that is found in tlie wider loelity.

The site's lo@tion provides good opportunities to connect withexisting srvices and facilities in the town and wider area bywalking, cycling and public tnnsport. Vehicular access could beprovided direcdy from Lpndon Road at the southem end of thesite.
