Glasses of hope – Action!
• Project begun in February 2011• Pilot study run on Fatima school (already
sponsored by RT Austria in 2009 – Second Hope Project)
Objectives:• Understand the extent of our action• Identify possible obstacles and problems

Fatima school – Our first experience
• Initial screening done mid February 2011• 156 students screened at the school• 58 students selected for secondary eye tests• 40 students provided with new glasses• 25% of student population needed glasses;
confirmed by our optician partners as normal ratio

Krys Optician Foundation
• Krys Optician Foundation, are donating 500 Glasses and Frames to 10 schools in Mauritius through MRT5.

• Project to screen 1 school in each of the 9 Districts in Mauritius.
• And one small island about 1:30 minutes by plane from Mauritius, call Rodrigues.
