The ‘GITEX 2019’ App covers both events GITEX Technology Week & GITEX Future Stars. This is a powerful networking platform in your pocket, which allows you to maximise your time at the event and to multiply your ROI by 3.

STEP 1-

HOW TO LOG IN?

1. E-mail

You will receive an e-mail by the second week of September with a button redirecting to a log-in page. Your account is automatically pre-created by the GITEX team. A window will then suggest that you create a password for your account.

If you didn't receive anything, check your spam box.

Access your account at login.swapcard.com.Enter the e-mail you used to register for the event.

If your address is not recognised, e-mail our app partner at support@swapcard.com

This is the home page of your event. The main navigation is the same on Web and Mobile. It is divided

into 5 parts:

To access the different sections of the platform, use the buttons on the home screen. From the Web App, navigation is made easier by the presence of a navigation sub-bar. This allows access to the 5 sections of the event:

• Home• Exhibitors• Program

• Speakers• Networking• My visit

A personalised connection request (with message) will be 4 times more likely to succeed.

Exhibitors All exhibitors are included in this list, both on app and web app.You can access an exhibitor's or your own record, its description and location on the map.

Find the list of different speakers at the event, and get in touch with them! In addition to their general information, you will also find the list of their speaking sessions.

SpeakersAll sessions are located in the "Program"section. Bookmark the sessions that interest you and create your personalised agenda!By clicking on a session, see who is leading it and which sponsors are connected to it.

2. App / Badge Scanning

I scan I am scanned

• To scan a badge, click on the « Scan » icon on the home screen of your event.

By scanning the Barcode/QR Code on an attendee's badge or application, you automatically add it to your contacts. This allows you to chat, get contact details, and add tags and notes to your contact. Your contact details are also sent to him/her.

You can also display your electronic badge for others to scan. It is located at the top right of the scanning interface.

You can view all the scanned leads / contacts on the App, any time you want, during or after the event. While your App Admin

will be able to export the full list of leads any time.

2. App / Business Card Scanning

• To scan a business card, click on the "Scan" icon on the home screen of your event.

• Then select "Card" at the top right of the screen.

By scanning an attendee's business card, you can save their data directly to your contacts. The business card data is automatically recognised and extracted in a contact form. You can edit the information at any time.

As with badge scanning, it is possible to add tags and notesto imported contacts.

Find your meetings, the people you met at the event and your personalised schedule.

You can export your appointments and your personalised calendar directly in your calendar by clicking on the icon :

By clicking on a participant, you can view the appointment slots for which he or she is available. Select the time that suits you.

The list of appointment spaces appears. Select your preferred one.

It is important to send a personalised message to the participant you wish to meet for better response.

4 Manage your meetingsIn "My Visit", you can view your appointments, cancel them and manage your availability. Be careful! A meeting slot is blocked when a request is made or received, even if it is not validated.

To access your exhibitor area, click on your name at the top right hand corner then on

« Exhibitor Area ».

It is better to access the exhibitor area via a computer.

3. Exhibitor Area / Navigation

When you first connect, a welcome text appears. Once you click on next, you will be asked if you want to share your contacts with your colleagues. You can change your settings at any time.

This is the menu bar that appears on the left side of your screen. It is useful for

navigating between the different sections of the exhibitor area..

3. Exhibitor Area / Team Members

Assign one of your team members as the Admin for the GITEX App account, who can manage the team members’ and contacts’ information.To manage the members attached, go to "Team Members". You can view, delete or add your team info.

To add a member, click on the button at the top right of your screen. If this person already has a GITEX App account, they will automatically be attached to your exhibitor account.If this person does not have an account, fill in at least their first and last name to automatically create an account.

3. Exhibitor Area / Shared Contacts

In the "Shared Contacts" tab, you can view all the contacts collected by you and your team before, during, and after the event. Only the contacts of your collaborators who have enabled the contact sharing option will be displayed, in addition to yours. Check that all your collaborators have activated it.

3. Exhibitor Area / Meeting Manager

To view and manage all the meetings of your team, go to the « Meetings » tab of the menu sidebar. Here you can:• Display the meetings of one or all members of your

team• Filter meetings by status: Pending, Validated or

Cancelled• Assign an appointment request to a member of your

team: click on the chosen appointment, then in the window that appears, enter the name of your collaborator, then validate.

• Cancel an appointment request: click on the appointment you have chosen, then in the window that appears, select

In the "Shared Contacts" tab, only the App Admin can export all the contacts generated whenever you want, any number of times.This export is done in the form of an excel file containing all the information of each contact, including the collaborator who initiated this contact, its date of addition, tags and other notes taken by each.

Let’s talk GDPR…All users of the platform have agreed to share their data with GITEX. When you scan a badge or connect with a user, he or she agrees to share information with

you. You therefore retrieve this information in accordance with GDPR.

From your App or Web App, you can also export your contacts (and only yours) as an excel file.
