Why I picked…Gisborne Primary

School

• I would like to become a Physical Education Primary School Teacher.

• It was my old primary school.

The Australian Newspaper

• I wanted to see how a newspaper runs on a daily basis.

• I’m looking into photography for the future.

What I found out…

Gisborne Primary School

The Australian Newspaper

As it was my old primary school I new a lot about the school before I went there.

I also spoke to the principal Ian Stove about what I will be doing and who I will be working with.

I asked the editorial manager about the what happens at the newspaper.

I have been there for half a day and met some of the workers so I new my way around there.

Gisborne Primary School• I worked with preps – grade 6 students teaching them physical Education . I enjoyed working with the preps the most as they are so cute and are very supporting of there class mates.

I got to go the district cross country where we helped on the day getting all our students ready for their race. The Gisborne kids did very well and I couldn’t believe they were still running around after there event.

I enjoy my week at Gisborne Primary School and all the staff were kind and very helpful. It was weird going into the staff room and seeing teacher that taught me so many years ago.

The AustralianMonday

I went to Glen Wheatley house who is spending his last year of jail in his mansion. The photographers have been there all day waiting for him to come outside.

I also went to an lady house to take a photo of her and her dog as she wasn’t happy about how much the pensioners and getting a week.

Thursday

I went to Mick Malthouse conference as he talked about Rocca and dale Thomas form. I also met Eddie McGuire who was watching the Collingwood boys train in the gym. The lexis centre was awesome place.

Friday

I went out with the photographers to take photos of the new CEO of Coles. I got to take photos in the Coles supermarket. We went back and looked at the photos I took and he told me what I did wrong and what I should do to make my photos better.

I enjoyed work experience and had a great time I recommend picking a placement that you are thinking of doing in the future as you get a feel of the job before you study and then decided you wont enjoy it. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my presentation.
