01 GIRLS INC. OF JACKSONVILLE | ANNUAL REPORT 2019
Dr. Robin RoseP R E S I D E N T & C H I E F E X E C U T I V E O F F I C E R
Girls Inc. of Jacksonville celebrated its 50th year anniversary as a Jacksonville not-for-profit organizationon May 25th, 2020. We are proud to have been a part of the NE Florida community working with girls ingrades K-12 who need our transformative and comprehensive programming the most so they not onlyachieve life success, but break female generational poverty cycles that they have inherited.
We know that girls are born innately powerful and that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.It is clear to us that when girls are invested in and given resources, opportunities, support, andencouragement, girls rise. They rise to address personal, community, and social challenges and barriers. They rise to speak out for themselves and others. They rise to advocate for issues important to their livesand futures. They rise to achieve their academic goals. They rise to explore innovative career paths thatmatch their interests and abilities. In all areas of their lives, THEY RISE.
As girls rise, we rise with them. The Board of Directors and I will continue to invest in girls’ leadership, expand the reach of our comprehensive programs, advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion as well aspro-girl policies, and deliver the highest-quality experiences to girls. We will also invest in building ourorganization capacity, infrastructure, and the resources needed to sustain growth of the organization foranother 50 years in our community.
We are inspired by our girls – and by all of you. Our continued partnership with our National organization, our donors, funders, volunteers, and our myriad of school partners, is critical to achieving our vision andgoals. Thank you for your continued investment, and for believing, like we do, that all girls deserve to growup strong, smart, and bold!
In Gratitude,
Dear Friend of Girls Inc.,
Thank you so much for contributing to another year of achievement atGirls Inc. of Jacksonville.
