Although there are fees associated with using credit cards, the increased sales, increased consumer convenience and happier customers make it well worth it!

12 cents per transaction + 2% total sales – Badgerland Council is absorbing ALL FEES

Example: Average girl delivery sale of 6 packages

6 pkgs at $4 per package = $24 gross sales

$24 X 2% = $0.48 + $0.12 cents = $0.60 total that Council will absorb

Estimating the Initial Cookie Order

Ordering the correct amount is not an exact science since every booth is different.

•Your initial order should cover 1-2 of the booths you are planning to do by February 28.

•Top Sellers are Thin Mints, Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties.

•Any cookies remaining from your February booths will be used to fill your girls order taking card orders.

Milk & Cookie Donation Optionfor

Dane & La Crosse County Food Pantry locations

If your cause is a Dane County Food Pantry, the Dane County Dairy Council will donate a gallon of milk for every box of Cookie Share cookies donated by Badgerland Troops – up to 2000 boxes.

La Crosse County Dairy Council will donate a ½ gallon of milk for every box donated to a La Crosse County Food Pantry.

• Customers can buy cookies to benefit a cause instead of for themselves.

• Customer pay for the cookies, but does not receive them.

• Cookie share cookies and money go back to the troop to donate.

• Troops decide where to donate their Cookie Share cookies.

• At the end of the sale, the troop delivers all Cookie Share cookies sold to their designated cause.

• Common Cookie Share Recipients: Food Pantries, Assisted Living Centers and Military Groups

Return Guidelines- ½ case per girl registered allowed to be

returned – can be rounded to next full case- Only complete, unopened, undamaged,

clean (no writing on the cartons) casesmay be returned

- Gluten free cookies are not returnable

- To be eligible for returns, your troop musthave placed an initial order by January 14

Money Collection

• Girls collect cookie money when they give cookies to customers.

• Checks are made to the troop or Girl Scouts, NOT the parent.

• Best Practice: Count the money with the parent to verify it is correct and give the parent a receipt for the money you received from them.

• Deposit all funds into the troop bank account. If you receive an NSF check, fill out the Returned Check Reimbursement form.

• Be prepared to pay your troop cookie bill:February 26: 30% of balance as of February 19March 14: 40% of balance as of March 7April 3: Remaining balance as of March 27

• If parents do not have final funds turned in by March 18, complete the Delinquent Parent form online and submit by March 22.

Collect signed Parent Permission slips and ask for volunteers. Brainstorm places where your troop would like to sell cookies and reach out

to those locations to schedule a time and date for the cookie booth. Decide if you want Gluten Free cookies to sell and request by January 14. Place your troop’s Initial Cookie Order by January 14 which will include cookies

for your February troop booth sales.
