Faith and Literature: Screwtape Letters-Believing CommunityThe book, Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis is very important for our time. In our secularized and materialistic societeven Christians have little awareness of the spiritual side of reality. By means of an imaginary correspondencebetween a senior tempter, Screwtape, and a junior devil, Wormwood, C.S. Lewis gives us penetrating insights intohow unseen powers of evil work to ensure and destroy those who seek to follow Christ. All reading will be done insession, and each session will cover one chapter. Discussions will cover pertinent themes of family, love, peer pressuhumor, cliques, etc. This is a great event for opening conversations about issues of the spiritual realm.
