Getting started with Google Classroom Integration Integrating Collisions with a Google domain offers you and your students the opportunity to sign into Collisions with a Google account connected to your Google Classroom. Getting started with Google Classroom Integration

Integrating Collisions with a Google domain offers you and your students the opportunity to sign into

Collisions with a Google account connected to your Google Classroom.

Once setup, you and your students can log into Collisions with your Google accounts through the Single

Sign-On (SSO) process - no account setup or class codes necessary!

This guide offers an overview of how to:

1. Link your Google account to your Collisions teacher account. (PAGE 2)

As a Collisions teacher, you will still have to setup an account with us before connecting your Google account. Once your account is created, you can connect it to your Google account.

2. Upload your Google Classroom rosters to create new classes. (PAGE 4)

If you are NEW to Collisions, you can directly upload your Google Classroom rosters to create student accounts. Your students will not have to go through the registration process or use a Class Code!

3. Match your current Collisions student accounts to their Google accounts. (PAGE 6)

If you are already using Collisions and your students have already created Collisions accounts, you have the option to match your students’ Google accounts with their current Collisions usernames. After this match is completed, your students can login with their Google accounts.

LINK YOUR TEACHER ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE

1. Log into the Teacher Portal at https://portal.playmada.com by entering your Collisions username

and password.

2. Select IMPORT in the top left corner.

3. Select your email, confirm, and authenticate your account by moving through the steps outlined

below.

4. Now, you can sign-in with your Google account to both the Teacher Portal and the Collisions game.

UPLOADING YOUR GOOGLE ROSTERS

If you don’t currently have any classes in the Collisions Portal, you can import your Google Classroom rosters. After import, your students will be able to log into Collisions using their Google account. They will not need a unique Collisions username and password.

1. Log into the Collisions Teacher Portal and select IMPORT in the top left corner.

2. Click SKIP to directly import your Google Classroom rosters.

3. Select the classes that you would like to import. All students in these classes will be imported.

4. The classes that you import will appear in your Teacher Portal with a Google Classroom icon.

5. The imported students can log into Collisions with their Google accounts.

MATCHING YOUR CURRENT CLASSES TO GOOGLE ACCOUNTS

If you are already using Collisions with your students and would like to match their Collisions account with their Google account to make the sign-in process easier moving forward, follow the steps below.

These steps will show you how to match your current Collisions classes and students with Google classroom. After you complete these steps, students will be able to login using their Google account.

1. Log into the Collisions Teacher Portal and select IMPORT in the top left corner.

2. Select the Google Classroom Class that you’d like to match from the dropdown.

3. Select the Collisions Class that you’d like to match from the dropdown.

4. Match your students here. You must match ALL students during this process.

5. Confirm your matches and complete the match!

All students not matched with a current Collisions account will be automatically imported and a new

account will be created. **If you didn’t match all of your students, you can return to STEP 3 and complete your matching.

6. The classes you matched will appear in your Teacher Portal with a Google Classroom icon.

7. The matched and imported students can now log into Collisions with their Google accounts.

Need to remove a student’s Google account connection? Follow the steps below.

If you incorrectly matched a student or would like to remove the Google account connection, you can do this in the Teacher Portal.

1. Select the class that this student is in.

2. Click ‘Manage Students’ and select the student that you would like to unlink from the Google

Account.

3. Click the ‘Actions’ tab in the top right corner and select ‘Remove Google Connection’

4. Your student’s Google connection has been unlinked from the Collisions account.
