With a Glooko account, you have access to all of your diabetes information at home and on-the-go. Log in through the Glooko mobile app or the myGlooko web app to see your diabetes information now.

For myGlooko, go to my.glooko.com on your web browser.

Glooko enables you to download your glucose readings directly from your meter to your Apple device, integrate food and life-style data, and automatically share reports with your diabetes care team.

This guide provides you with the basics you need to get started with Glooko!

Getting Started Guide

The Apps you need to get started are:

1. Download the Glooko App

Locate and open the APP STORE app on your Apple device.

In the App Store app, click SEARCH. (Bottom, 2nd From Right)

In the text field (top), type ‘glooko’:Click SEARCH (bottom right) or select ‘GLOOKO’ from the search results.

Click GET, followed by INSTALL.You may be asked to enter your iTunes account password. Enter it and click OK. This will begin the app download process.

Once Glooko is downloaded, click OPEN to begin using the Glooko app.

2. Create an Account

Open the GLOOKO APP and click CREATE ACCOUNT.

Fill out the following fields: First NameLast NameEmailPassword (the password should be at least 7 CHARACTERS, including at least 1 NUMBER)

Click CREATE ACCOUNT again.

The glucose and lifestyle data that you add to Glooko can be accessed on multiple mobile devices, including Android devices, and online in the Glooko web app, myGlooko. To access your diabetes data and see graphs online, go to your computer’s browser and enter in my.glooko.com - use your Glooko account information to log in.

3. Pair your MeterSync Blue

From the home screen in the Glooko app, click START SYNCING YOUR METER.

Select the GLOOKO METERSYNC BLUE to initiate the ‘Pairing Tutorial’.

The app will walk through the following steps:

Press and hold the BLUE BUTTON on your Glooko MeterSync Blue (for at least 1 second) to turn it ON.

Once your Glooko MeterSync Blue is found, click NEXT in the app.

To ensure that the Glooko MeterSync Blue sends data to your Apple device, you will need to pair it to your Apple device. You only have to do this one time, prior to syncing your meter.

To pair the Glooko MeterSync Blue, you will need to have Blue-tooth turned ON in your Apple device. If it is not ON, you will get a pop-up in the Glooko app that takes you to the Settings app – turn on BLUETOOTH, then return to the GLOOKO app to continue.

Once you have paired your Glooko MeterSync Blue to your Apple device, the ‘Pairing Tutorial’ will also instruct you to select and sync your meter.

If you have already paired and would just like to sync, you can do so from Home screen or the Side Menu (use the icon at the top left of most screens in the Glooko app).

4. Sync Your Meter

Click SELECT METER, then select your meter from the list.

Watch the meter’s sync tutorial, or click I KNOW HOW TO SYNC.

Put your meter into data transfer mode; refer to the meter reference guide on the next page.

If your Glooko MeterSync Blue has turned off, turn it back on again; then click SYNC.

Place your meter and the MeterSync Blue on a flat surface. Ensure that their infrared windows face each other and are no more than 4 inches apart.

Plug the meterconnector into the MeterSync Blue and your meter.

Attach the 2.5 mm adapter to the meter connector - plug the 2.5 mm end into your meter and the other end into the MeterSync Blue.

On the meter, press down on the left and right buttons at the exact same time. L-shaped symbols will appear on the meter’s display.

Turn the meter ON – three dashes will appear on the meter’s display.

Press the S button on the meter to turn it ON – the meter’s display will say PC.

5. ProConnect to your Provider

From the Settings screen, click ACCOUNT.

Click PROCONNECT. On the following screen, read the disclaimer and if you’re in agreement, click CONTINUE.

Enter in your provider’s unique PROCONNECT CODE; ask your provider for this code.

Click SUBMIT.

ProConnect automatically connects your glucose and lifestyle data to your provider’s Glooko Population Tracker, where they can access your diabetes data.

You will need to ask your provider for their ProConnect code; you may have written this down on the inside cover of this guide.

You have now synced your glucose meter and are connected to your healthcare provider.

Be sure to consistently sync your glucose meter to the Glooko App to have the most up-to-date information about your diabetes data and trends.

Add a Food Note

Glooko has a built-in food database that contains nutritional information on food distributed by 5,800+ food manufacturers, 700+ restaurants, and 250+ supermarkets.

Click on ADD EVENT in the Side Menu or the + ICON at the top right of most screens in Glooko.

Click on the FOOD ICON to search the food database and:

Adjust the portion sizes.

Log carbs directly into your Glooko History to see how they impact before and after meal readings.

To add up the total carb amount for an entire meal - no carb counter book or calculator is needed

Add foods to your favorites list.

Log medication dosages directly into your Glooko History to understand how it affects your glucose levels.

Add an Insulin or Medication Note

Glooko comes pre-loaded with commonly used insulin, oral, and injectable medications. If you don’t see your medication includ-ed in the list, you can easily add it.

Click on ADD EVENT in the Side Menu or the + ICON at the top right of most screens in Glooko.

Click on the MEDICATION ICON to select your medication from the list and to specify the number of units taken.

Medication list will readjust so that the medications that are recently used will appear at the top of the list.

Integrate 3rd Party Apps

You can integrate activity, blood pressure, and weight data from leading health and fitness applications to Glooko. This allows you to correlate your activity data with your glucose readings.

Connect with 3rd party apps in SETTINGS ( ) of the Glooko app – use your account information for that app or device to log in.

Set Reminders

You can set reminders to test your blood glucose, take insulin, take medication, or even set your own custom reminder.

REMINDER

Indicate if you accomplished what was set in the reminder and have the note automatical-ly added to your Glooko History.

Delay the reminder if you need more time to complete a task.

Save time logging routine insulin and medication intake.

Graphs and statistics provide analytics so you can observe trends over time and see how often your glucose readings fall within your targeted range.

Access graphs and statistics from the SIDE MENU.

Green points indicate glucose readings that are in range, while red and orange points indicatelow and high readings.

View three different types of graphs - Day of Week, Time of Day, By Date.

Click on a point to see the specific glucose value.
