Children and families know what information will be collected by whom and how.
They can more readily participate in information gathering and analysis.
It will be easier to Share information when this is necessary and more difficult to share it when it is not.

It will reduce bureaucracy and duplication.
Children, parents, professionals, agencies and the Scottish Executive will be able to monitor progress.
