Course name Professional Internship Program*

Learning outcomes The learning outcomes for this program include the development of skills and knowledge:

/ To work within organisational requirements / To work as part of a team / To develop effective workplace habits

In order to achieve these learning outcomes students will have the opportunity to observe, contribute to and participate in business meetings, read relevant organisational documents, practise professional communication and writing skills, establish workplace relationships and expand understanding of the application of legislation in the workplace.

Course duration 16 week‡ program incorporating BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment including:

/ 4 week pre-placement preparation including resume coaching, interview workshops and interviews

/ 12 week Work Integrated Learning placement

Course hours 20 hours self-directed learning, 274 – 456 hours work placement.

Course days 3 – 5 days per week during business hours. The number of days required is based on the student’s background, experience and needs.

Mode of delivery Work based blended with online learning component.

States of delivery NSW, VIC, SA, WA and QLD

Assessments There are 3 assessments and 1 preparation quiz required to successfully complete the program:

/ Week 2: Multiple Choice Assessment* / Week 3: Online Case Study* / Week 4: Online WHS Quiz (internship preparation - not an assessment

but must be completed) / Week 10 and 16: Final Work Placement Assessment, with Part A

completed in week 10 and Part B completed in week 16* (week 6 and week 12 of your internship)

Certification Statement of Attainment BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment – Provided by and delivered on behalf of Gradability Pty Ltd, RTO 91436 upon successful completion of assessments during the internship placement.

Readygrad Certificate of Completion – Issued on successful completion of all pre-placement workshops and preparation, relevant consultations, host company interviews, course evaluations, and meeting the requirements of the training agreement and attendance of the WIL placement.

Vocational PlacementsThe Professional Internship Program includes a vocational placement designed to give students an opportunity to apply the theory and skills they have learnt whilst studying in a professional workplace. Under the Fair Work Act 2009, vocational placements are lawfully unpaid, and students completing a vocational placement are not considered to be employees.

The Professional Internship Program is a structured program focusing on providing employment readiness skills. The program specialises in the fields of accounting, engineering, finance, HR, IT and marketing placements. Placements in other disciplines and engineering may take up to 8 weeks to secure as these areas have a broader scope across the market. Readygrad's Placement Consultants work hard to ensure that students placements are conducted in a Professional company that meets regulatory requirements as well as student’s needs. At times this process can take between 4-8 weeks.

The Professional Internship Program is designed by industry experts and graduate recruiters – we know what employers today are demanding and help you stand out!

Our program is split into two key stages – consultation andpreparation, and a practicalinternship experience – togive you an employabilityedge in a competitive jobmarket.

Consultation and Preparation This first stage is all about getting you ready for your internship placement.

You’ll be matched with one of Readygrad’s Placement Consultants who will mentor and guide you throughout the placement process. Your consultant will work with you to understand your career goals, interests and training needs, and work with you to update your resume. You’ll also attend one of our interview workshops where we focus on giving you the tips and tools to ace your interview and boost your confidence.

During this stage our Placements Team will be working hard matching you with suitable placement opportunities. We will arrange interviews, provide you with interview feedback and continue to present your resume until we secure you a professional internship placement in your relevant field of study.

You will also start working towards your Statement of Attainment in BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment.

Stage 1 Stage 2Professional Internship Placement For many the internship placement is the most exciting part of the program. It’s the opportunity to start building your professional experience and make yourself more employable.

At Readygrad our promise is to match you to the right internship for you. During your internship placement you’ll be provided with a Training Agreement, be assigned to a host company mentor, and continue working towards your certificate in BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment. We will be in touch with you throughout the placement to check on your progress and offer help and advice.

How to ApplyYou can apply online or complete and submit the enrolment form via email, post or in person. Before you apply you’ll need to check you meet the eligibility requirements of the Professional Internship Program and have the following documents ready to include:

/ Copy of relevant academic transcripts and completion letter

/ Copy of current English language test result certificate, if applicable

/ Copy of resume

/ Copy of relevant Skills Assessment, if you have one

/ Signed Professional InternshipProgram terms and conditions

Prior to being issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment you must return a completed Direct Debit Authority Form.

Eligibility To be eligible for the Professional Internship Program you must meet the following criteria:

/ IELTS 6.0 score overall with no less than 6.0 in each skill, or equivalent, if applicable

/ Be 18 years of age or older

/ Completed or enrolled in a degree or diploma in the area of your nominated internship placement*

/ Availability for a minimum of 3 days a week during office hours for placement

/ Abide by the Readygrad Student Code of Conduct, including maintaining professional standards and attitudes at all times at Readygrad campuses and at the host company

Program Fees and PaymentEngineering - $3,500 (4 instalments of $875)

Other disciplines - $2,500 (2 instalments of $1,250, or 4 instalments of $625)

For the 2 instalment option fees are due at enrolment, then four weeks from the intake date. For the 4 instalment option fees are due at enrolment and then fortnightly payments after the intake date.

Additional requirements in order to undertake the placement in a chosen profession are not included in the course costs and must be organised and paid for by the student prior to commencement of the placement.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit TransferEligible students may be able to apply for RPL or credit transfer if authenticated evidence is supplied. Please refer to the Student Handbook for more information.
