Responsibilities:• channel layout• subchannels, e.g. society includes:
demographic, criminal justice, archaeological, education, recreation
• select featured content• coordinate advisory group of ‘contributors’• maintain site content and active links

Metadata Collection Managers:1. Insert Channel Themes (ISO Topic Categories) into
metadata records– for homogenous collection, simple scripting– for heterogeneous collection, greater challenge
2. Register your metadata collection at geodata.gov– provide lookup table if unable to insert themes in
actual metadata per Step One.
3. Contact Channel Manager to nominate content

Data Managers:1. Insert Channel Themes (ISO Topic Categories)
into metadata records
2. Upload your metadata into a geodata.gov registered metadata collection
or
Register as Publisher at geodata.gov and
directly upload metadata (XML) to geodata.gov
