The media coverage for the June 2018 event alone resulted in a total of approximately 844 broadcasts on TV, radio, print and social media platforms which reached approximately 126.8M people around the world during the period from June 27th to July 3rd, 2018. His popularity around the world from a mass media perspective makes him attractive to sponsors who wish to support his fundraising initiatives. on behalf of known charities. George has appeared in the movie "Breaking and Entering" and ha also recently appeared on ABC TV's "To Tell the Truth". George has conducted training assessments on hundreds of clients and consults with many athletes around the world who seek out his unique training methods regarding fitness and performance excellence. His message has inspired many in the fitness industry and in the corporate, civic and private sectors. In August 2018, George appeared as the SME along with other celebrity trainers at a GWR event at the Rose Bowl on behalf of LIVESTRONG Fitness. George has also appeared in China in 2014 and 2016 at World Cup Plank Challenges. His single plank world record in China in 2014 is credited with bringing the plank pose mainstream in the fitness industry around the world. In 2013, George a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2013 for his career accomplishments in the fitness industry and raising money for charity. After successfully completing his service as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer, Hood served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) from 1984 to 1994 in Honolulu, HI and San Diego, CA Field Offices. In 1995, he was appointed as a Special Agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and served at DEA Field Divisions in San Diego, CA, Atlanta, GA in support of the 1996 Olympics and in Chicago, IL. In 2003, George was promoted to a GS-14 DEA Supervisory Special Agent. In December, 2007, George retired from DEA with nearly 24 years of multiagency, federal law enforcement investigative and international training experience. In September 2008, George was hired as a law enforcement professional and subsequently deployed to Afghanistan and provided law enforcement advice and support to U.S. forces in the conduct of counter -insurgency operations. In May, 2009, George transitioned to the fitness industry. In addition to training clients and organizing events, he has held several Director and leadership positions all of which continue to fuel his passion for helping others do amazing things. In May, 2019, George organized the world's 1st International Plank Training Conference in Naperville, IL which featured the a GWR for the longest female plank being set by Dana Glowacka from Montreal, Canada who worked and trained with George and was his lead cognitive coach in many of his record setting events. George currently resides in Naperville, IL where he still trains in pursuit of world records. He has distinguished himself on the world stage by being the only individual to repeat in many of his record setting categories and events.
