A On the Way of St. JamesGeneva is an important stop on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. This is where the Via Gebennensis starts. At the departure point, St. Peter's Cathedral, Saint James is portrayed in a 15th century stained glass window. Pilgrims may want to pray or meditate at the Basilique Notre-Dame (Basilica of our Lady) before getting their credencial stamped by the Geneva Tourism desk at 18, rue du Mont-Blanc.
B The parks – Geneva’s restful gardensIn summertime, you can relax in Geneva’s most beautiful Parc La Grange to enjoy its rose garden and the spectacular view over the lake. In winter, you spend some time at the Parc des Bastions in the heart of the city to contemplate the Reformation Wall. Among century old trees, you fi nd giant chess boards, a Belle Époque restaurant and a small ice rink, which create a warm ambience!
C Spanish art, source of inspiration for the United Nations Diplomacy and art under one roof at the United Nations. Admire two works of art donated by Spain. The Council Chamber is stunning with its gold and sepia murals, painted by Catalan artist José Maria Sert. The dome in the Human Rights and Alliance of Civilisations' Room, painted by Miquel Barceló with surprising multi-coloured stalactites, impresses with its artistic strength.www.unog.ch

Your personal guide tells you everything for next to nothing! With the Geneva Pass, it’s even more economical! www.geneve.com
E At the heart of humanitarian actionFounded in Geneva in 1863 by Henry Dunant and other Genevan citizens, the International Committee of the Red Cross is at the origin of the most important humanitarian movement in the world. This fascinating history comes alive in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum. You also learn more about the National Societies among which the Spanish Red Cross is a distinguished member. www.redcrossmuseum.ch
