About Pacific Rubiales EnergyPacific Rubiales, a Canadian company and
producer of crude oil and natural gas, owns
100% of Meta Petroleum Corp., which operates
the Rubiales, Piriri and Quifa heavy oil fields in
the Llanos Basin, and 100% of Pacific Stratus
Energy Colombia Corp., which operates the La
Creciente natural gas field in the northwestern
area of Colombia. Pacific Rubiales has also
acquired 100% of PetroMagdalena Energy
Corp., which owns light oil assets in Colombia,
and 100% of C&C Energia Ltd., which owns light
oil assets in the Llanos Basin. In addition, the
Company has a diversified portfolio of assets

PI System Architecture• PI system architecture is composed by 5 servers:
– PI Server: This is PI Data Archive Server.
– PI AF Server: This is PI Asset Framework Server.
– SQL Server: This is SQL Database server. PI AF Database, PI Coresight
Database and SharePoint Database are located in this server.
– Development Server: New implementation and upgrades are tested in this
server.
– SharePoint Server: This is the SharePoint and PI Coresight server for web
clients.

ConclusionWith PI System it’s possible to:
• Collect and store lots of information: We are able to collect up
to thirty thousand tags in Quifa field and up to sixty thousand
tags in Rubiales field.
• Organize information in plant model using PI AF.
• Convert real-time data into actionable information.
• Measure business performance.
• Send email alerts.
• View data in graphical tools to find problems and take
