General Administration
The following departments are working under the General Administration &
Services. The Prime objective of Administration is to implement the university
policies.
The General Administration Services section provides the following services to the LUMS
Community:
1. Car Entry Stickers
2. Transport Facility to the LUMS Community
3. Duplicate Keys (Only for Office Doors)

Car Entry Stickers
The General Administration Services Department issues Six Types of car entry stickers:
1. Covered Parking @ 2400/- per year
2. Students @ 1200/- per year
3. Faculty Resident @ 20/- per year
4. Pick & Drop @ 20/- per year
5. Free Parking Free
6. Faculty Covered & Residents @ 2420/- per year
For getting the car stickers following documents will be provided by the user:
1. Copy of vehicle registration book by showing original book.
2. Copy of smart card.
3. Copy of CNIC.
4. If the vehicle is on the name of parents then CNIC copy of parents.
5. If the vehicle is on company name then letter from the company on letter head.
Two car stickers can be issued against one smart card. Covered car parking facility is given by first
come first serve basis only for faculty & staff. For getting car stickers contact the following:

Transport Facility
The transport facility will be provided on first come first serve basis subject to the availability of
vehicles. The LUMS community can reserve the LUMS transport for official/ personal use three
days prior to the required date. The General Admin Section provides the following transport
facility to the LUMS community:

Transport Facility to Faculty/Staff/ Students (Official/ Personal)
Performa of Transport Slip
For availing transport facility, a transport slip is to be signed by HoD and send it to the General
Admin. The General Admin will provide the transport on first come first serve basis subject to the
availability of the vehicles. The students coming from the other cities can get the transport facility
through email.

The above rates are with services of a driver within official hours of work. Waiting charges for the
vehicle going out of LUMS premises will be charged at Rs: 100/- per hour. For extra duty after
office hours rate of driver’s services shall be charged of Rs: 60/- per hour and the amount will be
paid to the driver.

Booking of Venues
The LUMS community can reserve the venues for official events by sending email through their
respective offices one week before the commencement of their event. The following information
will be provided by the requesting person / society to the General Admin section through email:
1. Purpose of the event.
2. Date / time of the event & Schedule.
3. List of participants.
4. Requirement of Security/ Janitors through form.
5. Cell phone number of the coordinator.
6. Name of the society.
The General Admin section will confirm the availability or non availability of the venue. For
reservations:

Campus Parking Policy
1. This policy applies for the parking facility for Faculty, Staff, students and visitors. The
overall responsibility of parking lies with the General Administration Services Department.
The vehicles can be parked with the following conditions:
a. Only the sticker bearing vehicles can be parked inside the university parking lots.
b. The visitor’s vehicle will be parked in the visitors parking.
c. Vehicles wrongly parked will be issued with the warning slip first and on repetition fine
will be imposed.
d. The University Administration reserves the right to cancel any parking privileges as
deemed necessary.
e. In exceptional circumstances such as for handicapped Faculty, Staff, Students and
visitors or special University Guests, the University Administration reserves the right to
authorize the use of specific parking.
f. For convince of the community the vehicles should be parked as per parking stickers,
also shall observe Traffic Signs. Failing which, a warning shall be served and on
repetition the following fine will be imposed:
(1) Over Speeding Rs 1000/-
(2) Wrong Parking Rs 500/-
(3) Blowing Horns Rs 500/-
g. The campus speed limit is 20 Km per hour.
h. Overnight parking is prohibited except campus residents or unless authorized in
advance by the General Administration Department.
i. The University takes no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to vehicles parked in
parking premises. Owners are expected to lock their vehicles and to park them
according to the parking space.

Scope & Applicability
The Smart Card will provide its owner authorized access to key University facilities including
office blocks, student hostels, Library, computing labs, and the Sports Complex.

Applicable Policies
It is mandatory to carry your Smart Card all the times when on campus. A University security
representative can ask you for identification, and without the card you will not be able to access
various locations on campus.
The issued Smartcard will be valid for the entire duration of user’s stay at university.
Cards are not transferable.
In case card is lost or stolen, the bearer must inform Security office immediately.
Once issued in a working condition the protection of the Smart Card is a sole responsibility of
the user. Replacement of the smart card will be charged.
LUMS reserves the right to withdraw the card at any time.
Note: Students on financial aid can file their appeal for smart card fee reduction through
Financial Aid Office.
Policy Violations
Penalties related to violating the Security System.
To following penalties are in effect to make the access control system effective.
All charges will be backed by material evidence.

Lost & Found
Campus Office Keys
Lost Smart Card should immediately be reported to the Control room at 2560, 2561, 2562,
Extending access rights by lending card to someone else or helping other people to gain
unauthorized access to facilities (term known as tail gating).
Tampering with access control hardware and surveillance devices, theft and damage to
University property e.g. door, glass, access control hardware, surveillance cameras etc.
System down’ contingency: In the event of system malfunction i.e. card reader problem, power problems or other reasons
causing the interruption in services of the security, the security office will open smart-card-free
access to the users in the particular area, till the system is restored.
Lost & Found section is maintained by the security/ vigilance in the security control room near IN
gate. Any item which is found or lost is deposited/ reported to the following contacts:
