The Panda Liberty project is an 800 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle generating facility consisting of two 400 MW single-shaft power trains. The plant uses Siemens SGT6-8000H gas turbines, Siemens SST-5000 steam turbines, Siemens SGEN6-2000H hydrogen-cooled generators, Vogt “Smart-Box” Heat Recovery Steam Generators and Air-Cooled Condensers.

Full Notice to Proceed was received in August 2013, and Substantial Completion was achieved in April 2016.

The Middletown Energy Center is a 475 MW state-of-the-art natural gas-fired power plant facility in Middletown, OH. The project features an advanced Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas (MHPSA) M501GAC combustion turbine generator, a Vogt Power International supplementary-fired Heat Recovery Steam Generator, and a Toshiba America Energy Systems steam turbine generator.

The Caithness Freedom Generating Station is a 1,040 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle generating facility consisting of two identical single shaft power trains utilizing GE 7HA.02 combustion turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, steam turbines and generators. The HRSG has a Selective Catalytic Reduction System for NOx control and an oxidation catalyst to reduce CO2 and VOC emissions. Each steam turbine will exhaust to an Air-Cooled Condenser.

Full Notice to Proceed was received in November 2015, and Substantial Completion was achieved in July 2018.

Using state-of-the-art combined cycle technology and a dry (air)cooling system, the 1,875 MW, Guernsey Power Station, will be acost and fuel-efficient plant. Each power train, in its own turbinebuilding, will consist of one GE 7HA.02 gas turbine equippedwith evaporative inlet cooling, one triple pressure reheat steamturbine and one water/hydrogen cooled electric generatorarranged on a common single shaft. Each power train will havean outdoor heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) equippedwith supplemental duct firing capabilities, selective catalyticreduction technology for NOx, and an oxidation catalyst forCO/VOC reduction.

NTP was received on August 29, 2019 with Facility SubstantialCompletion expected in October 2022.

Harrison Power Station is a 1,085 MW combined-cycle facility to be located in Harrison County, OH.Harrison Power Station will be a two-unit, one-on-one single shaft combined cycle facility eachconsisting of a Mitsubishi 501JAC natural gas-firedcombustion turbine generator with duct fired heatrecovery steam generator, steam turbinegenerator, and an air-cooled condenser.

NTP is projected for 2nd quarter 2020 with a CODprojected for 2nd quarter 2023.

The 1,650 MW Chickahominy project will feature three advancedclass combustion turbine power trains and include air cooledcondensers to limit water use. Each power train will consist ofone MHPSA M-501 JAC gas turbine equipped with evaporativeinlet cooling, one triple pressure reheat steam turbine, onehydrogen cooled electric generator and one heat recoverysteam generator (HRSG) equipped with supplemental duct firingcapabilities, selective catalytic reduction technology for NOx, andan oxidation catalyst for CO/VOC reduction.

The project will be powered exclusively by clean natural gas. Thesite of the plant is located strategically between the rapidlygrowing economies of Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads –where electricity demand is expected to increase with the manydata centers planned and under construction in the region.
