The Gatlinburg Vacation Guide contains detailed information about attractions, events, lodging, restaurants and shopping, catering to traveling families as well as travel agents, AAA offices and state visitor centers. Chamber Wednesday Every Wednesday, new and pertinent information about Chamber news, events and programs will be delivered directly to your email. Visitor Inquiries The Chamber records approximately 80,000 requests for visitor, real estate and relocation information each year. These inquiries are available to Regular Members and can be downloaded through the Members Only site at Gatlinburg.com. There are minimal monthly fees charged for some of these services. The Chamber’s database program allows Members a more detailed description, providing area consultants with the most up to date information on each Member. A random referral program helps to create a fair opportunity to each Member for recommendation. Gatlinburg Goes Green Program Gatlinburg Goes Green is a member-based, voluntary initiative in which members are educated on how their daily practices can impact the environment. Chamber Background The Gatlinburg Chamber began over 75 years ago. During the late 1930s, businessmen in the community banded together to form the first tourist bureau. In 1940, the newly- organized tourist bureau was chartered by the United States Chamber of Commerce. The Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce was officially chartered as a nonprofit organization in June 1957. What is the Gatlinburg Chamber’s role? The Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce’s present role is that of a private, membership-funded business organization that continues to serve the business community through active involvement in citywide issues, the publishing, distribution and management of the community’s Gatlinburg Vacation Guide and website Gatlinburg.com for the City of Gatlinburg, and the daily attention to visitor mail, telephone, and internet inquiries. Attraction, Entertainment, EventAn attraction member is defined as a business that pays the City of Gatlinburg Attractions Tax and must provide proof to the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce thereof or a 3,500-square foot minimum family entertainment center consisting of a minimum of 75% combination family video and redemption games. Events or shows which have been exempted by ordinance of the city from paying such tax and are deemed by the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau to be an event or show that is open to the public. All attraction members must have their primary business/activity location within the City of Gatlinburg and/or the Gatlinburg Urban Growth Boundary Area.

When potential customers call the published phone number, they are offered initially and primarily Gatlinburg only accommodations. A unit list must be filled out and returned with your membership application. A lodging Member is defined as a business that pays the City of Gatlinburg Lodging Tax and must provide proof to the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce thereof. Must be licensed with the Tennessee Real Estate Commission and must provide proof to the Gatlinburg Chamber thereof.

ALL applications for membership are subject to the approval of the Member Services Department and the Board of Directors. Memberships are based on the calendar year. After the beginning of the new year, membership rates may be pro-rated as deemed approriate. Membership dues may be tax-deductible as a business expense but not as a charitable contribution.

In the event of cancellation or non-compliance with policy of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, business will immediately remove Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce membership plaque surrendering it to the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce and discontinue all use of the trademarked Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce logo or affiliation in anyway.

Association: Trade Flat Rate of $225At least 51% of a Gatlinburg Trade Association membership must be located in the Gatlinburg city limits or Gatlinburg Urban Growth Boundary Area. This category requires that the majority of the members of the association be representative of the trade that the association represents. Any trade association’s advertisements must represent the association and include a phone number. Associa-tion members are not eligible to receive the inquiry list.

Wedding Chapel or Wedding Service To qualify as a Wedding Chapel there must be a permanentstructure used to perform the wedding ceremony located in the City of Gatlinburg or Urban Growth Boundary Area. All other wedding related businesses would be classi-fied as Wedding Services. See rates
