LOCAL PRESENCE IN THE SQUADWhile there are three players on the Swope Park Rangers rosterwho are directly from the Kansas City area, five more have

connections to the city. Christian Duke (Overland Park, Kan.), JonKempin (Leawood, Kan.) and Steven Tekesky (Raymore, Mo.) wereall raised in the region, while Ezra Armstrong, Will Little, Daniel Salloiand Nansel Selbol all entered the club through the Sporting KCAcademy despite not being natives of the area. In addition, centerback Tommy Meyer is from St. Louis, Mo. and returns to his homestate after spending eight years away.

CONNECTED TO SWOPE PARKThe team name, "Swope Park Rangers", is a moniker that stemsfrom the days of the old MLS Reserve League. Sporting KansasCity's reserve side would play games at Swope Soccer Village atSwope Park, and fans who followed the side coined the nameSwope Park Rangers in reference to the team. The name was neverused through official club channels until October 22, 2015, whenSporting Club introduced the Swope Park Rangers as the club's newUSL side. The club will play the majority of it's home games atChildren's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village.
