Press Release on Contract with the Government of South Sudan

Gainful Solutions Inc., led by its managing partners Ambassador (ret.) Michael Ranneberger and

Mr. Soheil Nazari-Kangarlou, is pleased to announce that it has signed a new consulting and

lobbying contract with the Government of South Sudan (GOSS). This contract replaces the

4/2/19 contract, which was recently terminated by the GOSS. After Gainful Solutions met with

the President and his team on April 21 & 22 in Juba, it was determined that the scope of work

and priorities of the GOSS were not being addressed accurately in the original contract.

Gainful Solutions will work with President Salva Kiir and the GOSS to promote improved

political, security, and economic relations between South Sudan and the United States.

President Salva Kiir has reiterated his commitment to the planned Government of National

Unity (GONU) in order to promote peace, justice, transparency, unity, and security for the

benefit of all the people of South Sudan. President Kiir recently demonstrated this

commitment to the GONU by lifting the state of emergency.

In this positive context, Gainful Solutions will encourage closer and mutually beneficial relations

between the governments and peoples of South Sudan and the United States.

As part of this effort, Gainful Solutions will encourage American and Western private sector

investment in oil, natural resources, infrastructure, telecommunications, social services, and

other areas. This will help support economic development and expansion of social services vital

to the welfare of all South Sudanese.

Gainful Solutions envisages that its efforts will complement those being made by Inter-

Governmental Authority on Development, the Troika, and the international community to

promote peace, stability, and development in South Sudan.

The new contract, dated May 6, is being filed with the Department of Justice's FARA

Registration Unit, and will be publicly available on DOJ's FARA website shortly.
