All motor graders that SDLG have are developed on “G9190 platform”, they are

remarkably similar. So we take G9190 for example.

And I will explain the different points.

Do you know what dose this mean? G9190 can be divided into three parts: G, 9, 190.G

represent Drive type,,,

Rear wheel hydrodynamic drive.

G9190 is the multi-purpose products with high efficiency, high accuracy. It can realize the

function of digging ditch, scraping slope, leveling ground, snow removal, it can be called

universal machine.

We will talk about this unversal machine from four aspects: energy saving, reliable

comfort and convenient.

When it comes to energy saving, we have to talk about engine.

As we all know, graders working condition is complex, some times is low speed and

heavy duty, some times the load is very light, you can drive at a high speed. One power

curve is not enough to adapt to the complex working condition.

“0”means low power, choose “0” at the condition of low speed and heavy load or

finishing

“1”means middle power, choose “1” at the condition of road maintenance and leveling

“2”means high power, choose “2” at the condition of snow removal and transitions

But not all of them have this function. As the engine are different.

Motor graders adopt two brand engine：Weichai and DEUTZ,

Weichai engine only have one engine power curve

Motor grader adopt high pressure gear pump, so it’s the constant hydraulic system,

American HUSCO control valve

The system is constant flow and open loop system,

Reliable is one important performance of grader. Let’s talk about from front axle.

The main function is guidance and support, it is installed on front frame by one pin,

the Max. swing angle is 16 degree,

the Max. tilt angle of front wheel is 18 degree,

the Max. steering angle is 50

When working on slope inclining front wheel can increase adhesive force and stability.

Inclining front wheel can offset side force from material and prevent front wheel

sidesliping.

The brand of rear axle and balance box is Meritor, the axle is equipped

with No-spin differential box, which not only make sure that both side

driving wheel run at different speed, but also ensure to transfer total

torque to another side when one side of driving wheel slip.

And the balance box can swing forward and backward to make sure four wheels can

down to the ground at same time.

One commonly action of motor graders is rotate blade, in market, there are two

structure to realize this function, one is motor and reducer, one is cylinder and rotary

valve. SDLG choose latter, this structure have three obvious advantages,

1.It can rotate with load

2.High reliability and working accuracy

3.Lower cost

Because motor have one character that is minimum steady speed. It will crawl at low

speed motion.

Besides, cylinder have a higher efficiency than motor, the motor have poor volume

efficiency when it at low speed.

From the picture we can see that SDLG’s products are outer gear ring, and some other

products are inner gear ring, and this structure is easy to gather soil and not easy to

clean.

Relative movement between link span and gear ring can lead to abrasion. It looks like we

need to fill grease to reduce abrasion. But we don’t because it adopt wear-resisting

plate between gear ring and link span. So we don’t need to fill in grease everyday.

And this part, we also don’t need to fill grease, because we adopt composite bearings,

they are no-lubricated bearings.

Some other products adopts shaft sleeve, need to add grease everyday, looks very dirty.

From this picture we can see that the front frame is box-type structure. This structure

have high strength and high reliability.

Full sealing cab. The configuration is FOP&ROP cab. The seat, flywheel and operation

desk can be adjusted, you will find one comfortable position finally, and I will show you

how to adjust in walk around training. Actually, the cab is not good enough, like the view

is not good compare with CAT,

I just said the grader that equipped with DDE engine have two features, the first is have

three power curve, the second is automatic cruise, This function is the same with

manual accelerator control. It can make engine run at a certain speed higher than idle

speed.

Increment of rotary speed is determined by the pressing length of time not number of

The connection between front frame and link span adopt ball joint type. This ball joint

are dismountable. If abrasion, you can disassemble the fixed bolts and replace it, which

is very convenient.

Solenoid valve and cylinder control the locking of swing frame. Swing frame have seven

location, and indicator have seven holes. Every hole is correspond with every location.

You just need to sit in the cab and move you fingers you can make it.Other products

adopt locking pin to lock swing frame, which need two person to make it. One sit in cab

and operate, the other pull or insert the pin at same time. Not convenient.

Steering gear is located on the outside of cab, so the vibration, noise and heat can’t

deliver into the cab. Ensure the cab have a comfortable operating environment.

Scarifier and rear scarifier are different, we can distinguish from two points. NO. one is

that rear scarifier have more tooth. NO. two is that the rear scarifier tooth is smaller. In

one word, the tooth of rear scarifier is more but smaller. In product manual.
