The master lists shall serve as the bases for the targeting of recipients for theIocal Health Units and the accomplishment report of the school, and shall be acofilmon property of both the local Health Unit and the School.
Schools are to have close coordination with their locai health unit counterpart atthe barangay level for the retrieval of the master lists once the conduct of theDeworming, Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation, and Immunization arecompleted (subject to the Local Health Units).

Subject: ADVISORY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MEDICAL-NURSING SERVICES AND THE ADOLESCENT
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROGRAM FOR SY 2020-2021
Due to the current situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic,
during which face-to-face classes have been suspended, the implementation of the following School Health Programs for SY 2020-2021 shall be community-based, to be conducted by the Department of Health (DOH). Concerned personnel at the regional and division offices and schools are requested to provide necessary support in the following activities, expected to be completed on or before December 31, 2020:
School Health Program Expected Roles of the
Regional and Division Offices, and Schools in the Community-Based Implementation of the Programs
1. Medical and Nursing Services
a. School-Based Immunization Program (SBI) – Measles-Rubella (MR), Tetanus diphtheria (Td) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
b. Weekly Iron Folic Acid (WIFA) Supplementation
x For the SDOs to provide the needed Master List of Learners for SY 2020-2021 to their respective counterpart Local Health Units. The master list shall also serve as the basis for the accomplishment report of the school, and shall be a communal property of both the Local Health Unit and the school
x For the Regional and Division Focal Persons to attend program-related activities organized by the DOH (e.g., virtual coordination, consultative meetings, orientation, awareness campaigns, etc.)
x For the Regional and Division Focal Persons to conduct health promotion advocacies on the programs to teachers, parents, and learners utilizing various platforms
c. Integrated Helminth Control Program (IHCP)
x For the Regional and Division Focal Persons Focal Persons to help/facilitate the transfer of commodities for IHCP and WIFA supplementation (deworming and iron folic acid tablets) from the schools to local health units
2. Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH)- Rapid Psychosocial Assessment for Adolescents
x For the SDOs to provide the needed Master List of Learners for SY 2020-2021 to their respective counterpart Local Health Units
x For the Regional and Division Health Personnel, ARH Coordinators, and teachers to attend self-paced online trainings on Adolescent Health Education and Practical Training (ADEPT) and the use of Rapid Psychosocial Assessment Tool accessible at the DepEd Professional Development-Learning Management System (DepEd PD-LMS)
x For the Regional and Division Health Personnel, ARH Coordinators, and teachers to attend program-related activities organized by the DOH (e.g., virtual coordination, consultative meetings, orientation, awareness campaigns)
x For the Regional and Division Health Personnel, ARH Coordinators, and teachers to assist the Local Health Units in the distribution of self-administered forms, through the existing mechanisms/platforms set up by the schools for module distribution for Grades 5 to 12. Schools, in coordination with the Local Health Units, can opt to create an online form for their learners.
x For ARH Coordinators, health personnel, and teachers to help facilitate the collection of the printed forms from the learners upon the return of their modules. The forms shall be a communal property of both the Local Health Unit and the school.
x For personnel trained in the use of the Rapid Psychosocial Assessment Tool, ADEPT, and Psychological First Aid (PFA) to assist in the consolidation and analysis of data, conduct PFA to identified learners in need, if necessary, and refer to proper health care professionals
x For ARH Coordinators and health personnel to conduct health promotion advocacies on the program to teachers, parents and learners utilizing various platforms
It is emphasized that the participation of DepEd personnel in the
implementation of the abovementioned programs shall be on personal and voluntary capacity.
Furthermore, the implementation of the SBI, WIFA Supplementation, and
IHCP shall be done under the Fixed Site Administration approach, stated in the DOH Department Circular No. 2020-0167. Should the health personnel be involved, the Local Health Unit must ensure the safety and health of the DepEd personnel by providing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), alcohol, sanitizers, and other disinfectants, and implementing stringent physical distancing measures; and paying remuneration or allowances, as may be warranted by law.
The Data Privacy Act and related policies of the DOH and DepEd shall be followed in the handling and sharing of data.

implementation of above-mentioned health programs are enclosed for ready reference:

Ang Deworming o Pagpurga usa ka epektibo nga pama-agi sa pag-luwas sa mga
bata batok sa mga bitok nga maoy maka-angin sa pagkaluya sa ilang panglawas
ug paghinay sa ilang pangisip.
Ang School Deworming gibuhat sa paghatag og Albendazole 400mg Tablets nga
ipa-tumar sa mga bata sa mga tulungha-an.
Apan tungod sa panghitabo sa Pandemya sa COVID-19, adunay mga ka-usaban sa pama-agi sa
paghatag ni-ini. Ang kani-adtong mga pagpurga nga gibuhat sa mga tulungha-an, gibalhin usa sa mga
komunidad o gihimong “Community-based” sa mga lokal nga health centers.
PARA KINSA MAN ANG DEWORMING?
Ang Deworming para sa tanan, pero gihatagan kini ug prayoridad para sa mga bata
labi na sa mga tinun-an, ug sa mga hamtong na og pangedaron nga tig-andam og
mga pagkaon.
KANUS-A MAN ANGAY IPA-INOM ANG DEWORMING TABLET?
Ihatag ang Deworming Tablets kaduha sa usa ka tuig, sa mga bulan sa Hulyo ug
Enero. Kini ang mga gitawag og “Deworming Months”. Tumaron ang usa (1) ka
deworming tablet kas-a lamang sa mga nahisgotang mga bulan.
Ipa-inom lamang ang deworming tablet kon gitugotan ang bata sa iyang
ginikanan o tigbantay, ug kon wala siya’y mga gipamati sama sa pagsakit sa tiyan, kalibanga, grabe nga ubo, hilanat, o allergy sa “Albendazole”.
Mas maayo usab nga ipatumar ang deworming tablet og busog ang bata o sa pagkahuman niya og
kaon. Sa mga bata nga adunay mga gipamati, mahimong ipatumar ang deworming tablet kon ma-
maayo na o kon aduna nay abiso gikan sa doktor.
UNSAY ANGAY HINOMDOMAN KABAHIN SA DEWORMING?
Sama sa ubang mga tambal, adunay mga reaksyon nga puwedeng mahitabo
gumikan sa pagtumar sa deworming tablets. Kini mga minos lamang nga mga
reaksyon o “side effects” sama sa pagkalipong, pagbati og kalo-od, paglabad
sa ulo, ug pagsuka.
Kon kining mga sintomas magpadayon, kinahanglang dalhon sa ginikanan o
sa tigbantay ang bata ngadto sa pinakado-ol nga tambalanan o sa lokal nga
health center.

WEEKLY IRON FOLIC ACID (WIFA) SUPPLEMENTATION UNSA MAN ANG WIFA?
Ang WIFA o ang Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation, usa ka programa sa Deparment of Health (DOH) inubanan sa Department of Education (DepEd). Kini gilauman nga malikayan ang gitawag og “Iron Deficiency Anemia” sa tanang nga mga tinun-an nga mga babaye sa Grade 7-10 sa mga pang-publikong tulungha-an.
Ang WIFA ihatag pina-agi sa supplements nga puwede sa porma nga tableta o kapsula. Adunay sulod nga 60mg “elemental iron” ug 400ug “folic acid” ang kada usa ka tableta o kapsula sa WIFA.
UNSA MAN ANG ANEMIA?
Ang Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA), usa ka kondisyon nga di-in ang dugo sa usa ka tawo ubos sa gitawag og “Hemoglobin”. Ang hemoglobin mao ang naghatag sa kapuwahon sa atong dugo ug siya mao ang responsable sa pagdala sa oxygen ngadto sa mga kalain-laing parte sa atong lawas, labi na sa atong mga “vital organs” sama sa baga, otok, atay, kidneys ug uban pa.
Ang gidaghanon ug kalidad sa hemoglobin sa atong dugo, nag-depende sa “Iron” ug “Folic Acid” nga gidawat sa atong lawas gikan sa atong mga pagkaon. Kon aduna kita’y kakulangan sa hemoglobin, puwede kitang magka-anemia. Ang anemia maoy maka ingon sa pagpangluspad, pagkaluya, pagkaminos sa konsentrasyon, ug uban pang mga dili maayong epekto. Mas dali ang mga babaye nga magka-anemia tungod kay mawad-an man sila og dugo gumikan sa ilang binulang regla.
PARA KINSA MAN ANG WIFA UG KANUS-A MAN SIYA TUMARON?
Ang WIFA pina-agi sa Iron Folic Acid (IFA) nga mga tableta, gihimong prayoridad para sa mga babaye sa Grade 7-10 nga naa sa mga pang-publikong tulungha-an (Public High Schools), ug sa mga babayeng estudyante nga nagpa-enroll sa Alternative Learning System (ALS).
Ihatag ang IFA tablets, usa ka tableta kada semana, kasagaran sa adlaw nga Lunes. Tumaron kini human og kaon o samtang busog pa, para malikayan ang paghapdos sa tiyan. Ang pagtumar sa WIFA kada semana pagabuhaton sulod sa dose (12) ka hatagan, nga naga-tagal og suma-total nga tulo (3) ka bulan.
UNSAY ANGAY HINOMDOMAN KABAHIN SA WIFA?
Adunay mga reaksyon nga puwedeng mahitabo gumikan sa pagtumar sa WIFA tablets o capsules. Kini mga minos lamang nga mga reaksyon o “side effects” sama sa paghapdos sa tiyan, pagtubol, ug pag-itom sa kolor sa hugaw. Kon kining mga sintomas magpadayon, undangon ang pagtumar ug dalhon sa ginikanan o tigbantay ang estudyante ngadto sa pinakado-ol nga tambalanan o sa lokal nga health center.
Saktong pagtapig sa Iron Folic Acid Supplements (Drug Storage): Sensitibo sa init ang maong IFA supplements. Busa, kinahanglan nga sa kanunay tapigan ngadto sa uga nga dapit nga layo sa init.

Ang School-Based Immunization Program, usa ka programa sa Deparment of Health (DOH) inubanan sa Department of Education (DepEd), ug sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Ang mao nga programa gilauman nga ma protektahan ang atong mga tinun-an batok sa mga sakit nga puwedeng malikayan pina-agi sa pagbakuna.
Apan tungod sa panghitabo sa Pandemya sa COVID-19, adunay mga ka-usaban sa pama-agi sa paghatag sa mga bakuna. Ang kani-adtong mga pagbakuna nga gibuhat sa mga tulungha-an, gibalhin usa sa mga komunidad o gihimong “Community-based” sa mga lokal nga health centers.
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine UNSA MAN ANG HPV VACCINE UG KINSA MAN ANG HATAGAN ANI NGA BAKUNA?
Ang HPV Vaccine usa ka bakuna batok sa virus nga maka-ingon sa kanser sa cervix o “kwelyo sa matris” sa mga babaye. Ihatag kini sa pama-agi sa injection o pagtupok dapit sa braso.
Ang unang pagdapat sa bakuna (first dose) paga-sundan sa ika-duhang pagdapat (second dose) homan sa unom (6) ka bulan.
Kini nga bakuna para sa tanang Grade 4 nga batang babaye nga naga edad og 9-14 ka tu-ig nga gitugotan sa ilang mga ginikanan o tigbantay. Mahibaw-an ang mga samang tinun-an sa pina-agi sa master list nga ihatag sa Class Adviser ngadto sa barangay midwife, o barangay nars, o barangay health workers.

Sama sa bisan unsa nga mga tambal, adunay mga reaksyon nga puwedeng mahitabo gumikan sa pagdawat sa bakuna. Kini mga minos lamang nga mga “side effects” sama sa pagsakit ug pagpula sa tinupokan, gamay nga paghubag sa braso nga gitupokan, hilanat, paglabad sa ulo o pagbati og kakapoy. Kon kining mga sintomas magpadayon, kinahanglang dalhon sa ginikanan o tigbantay ang tinun-an ngadto sa pinakado-ol nga tambalanan o sa lokal nga health center.
Angay usab timan-an sa mga ginikanan ang schedule sa sunod nga pagdapat o “second dose” sa HPV Vaccine, para dili kini makalimtan. Mahimong mo bisita ang mga ginikanan og magkig-sabot sa ilang barangay midwife o barangay nars sa ilang lokal nga health center kabahin ni-ini.
