Fun facts about trees

•Every 100 kilos of paper is made of 2 medium high trees. Those trees could have produced oxygen for 20 people.

•Beech can live up to 300 years. In Poland it can be found in the West and North. In the South it makes a beautiful forest along with oaks and spruces.

•Fir trees can live up to 500 years. Their hard light wood is used for house and musical instrument building.

•When you great fir trees’ needles you smell oranges.

•A 60-year-old pine can produce enough oxygen for 3 people to use for a day (1350 – 1800 litres).

•100-year-old beech produces 1200 liters of oxygen an hour. 2700 new trees are needed to make it up for the destruction of an old tree.

One big tree (25 metres high) reduces the same amount of oxygen from the atmosphere as 2 detached houses produce.
