Important Announcement
Our next Co-Op Meeting will be held on Monday, November 21st at 6:30pm in the Library. We hope you can join us. We are asking that all Committee Chairs or a representative from each Committee is present so we can discuss any updates. All attendees will be entered into a drawing for a prize. President’s Notes It was a busy October…and now we move on to the busiest time of the year and my favorite time of the year. I hope everyone is having a great year so far.
The school T-Shirts have been distributed, and our first day to wear them was on Oct. 27th for part of our Red Ribbon week celebration. Stay tuned for more announcements on when to wear the shirts again. We hope you all enjoy them!
Last month we had our Dads & Donuts which turned out to be a blast for all. Getting pictures with the oversized donut was a huge hit with all. Thank you to Lisa Kelly for organizing and to all who helped make this event possible. We had our fall parties and costume parade which is always a great time. Thank you to all the parents who helped with the parties, your time is greatly appreciated. Our first Fun & Fitness Event was a great success at EXSP – thank you to all who participated and to Lisa Kelly for organizing. Another thanks to Brandon Ramsey for a great Sub/Sandwich sale, it was a great success for our co-op.
Our yearbook cover winners were announced and are included in this newsletter. Congratulations to the winners, all the artwork showed our great talent at Mountain View. The musical auditions also took place and the cast has been announced. We will start practices this month – Congratulation’s to the cast. It is going to be a great show!
This month we have our first Book Fair for the year, be sure to stop in during conferences, it will be located on the stage in the cafeteria. We will also have a bake sale during Election Day, thank you to all who volunteered to donate and work the event. Another big event this month is our Talent Show! This is a free event, so come on out and see how talented our students on – from singing acts, dancing acts, comedians, etc. the list goes on. We also have another Fun & Fitness event this month, so we hope you can join in the fun. Be sure that you sign up if you haven’t done so yet with our Easy Income programs. Our Student of the Month program is kicking off this month. If you are in the school be sure to check the bulletin board to see the chosen students for the month. Congratulations to all. Don’t forget we have our General Co-Op Meeting this month. Come on out so you can enter the drawing for $25 Mountain View bucks. I look forward to working with all the families, students, teachers and staff this year! I hope you all get involved and help see how much fun it really is year after year. Book Fair
Our first book fair of the year is November 7-10th! Volunteers are welcome to wear their favorite, kid-friendly superhero costume during the fair. You do need your CDSD issued ID Badge to work our book fairs. If you would like to volunteer, please arrange to have one before November. The 2016-2017 Mountain View Directory has been completed and posted on the Mountain View Co-Op website. This Directory is password protected, and an email was sent out to each parent with the password information. In order for your child(ren) to be included in the directory, a permission form must have been turned into school.

The Mountain View T-Shirts have now been delivered to all students and staff. Our first big day to wear them was Thursday, October 27th as part of our Red Ribbon week! It was a great day to see
all the bright colors and to see our students celebrate a great school!
Again a big shout out to Tina Sell for designing the shirts!
Christmas with The Claus’s Come join us on Friday, December 2nd, 6:00pm – 8:00pm for a fun filled night with Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus and a few elves. At 6:00pm Santa will read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to the children, followed by some Christmas Carol singing and then feel free to get pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus. Be sure to bring your camera’s to take your pictures. We will also have milk and cookies for all. If you are willing to donate Cookies please contact Michelle Camilli at [email protected]

Mountain View's Annual Talent Show is Coming Soon!!!
Come and See the Talented Students of Mt. View at our Annual Talent Show! Mt. View students are busy getting their acts ready for the upcoming Talent Show! The Talent Show Dress Rehearsal will be held after school on Wednesday, November 16 for all those students who are participating in the Talent Show. Please mark your calendars and plan on coming out to support our very talented Mt. View students at the Talent Show Performance Night on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 PM! Committee Support Cookies with The Claus’s
If anyone is interested in organizing this event please let us know. New this year Mountain View will have pictures with the Claus’s and
they will read ‘Twas the Night before Christmas to the children along with milk and cookies and Christmas carols.
Hospitality Committee
We are looking for parents to organize a Hospitality Committee – contact Danielle for more information. Skating Parties Looking for any volunteers who would be interested in collecting money at the skating parties for the 2017-2018 school year, but could learn how to do this at one of the skating parties this year.

Used Book Sale to Benefit Hodgson Family
To help Grant’s family with expenses while he undergoes cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Girl Scout Troop 10260 will be holding a used book sale fundraiser at Charlton Church on November 13, 2016 from 12:30 – 6:30 p.m. The troop is also seeking donations of books in good condition for the sale. If you would like to donate books, there will be a bin in the lobby at Mountain View starting the week of September 19. To volunteer to help with the sale, please contact [email protected].
