1. The performance of the machine
The machine is applicable for shearing cold-state round steel, angle, square steel, flat sl and plate steel which have low carbon content and a tensile strength4Skg / mm2• It is also applicable
for profile processing and punching of the angle and steel plate. The products of the same shape of

shearing of the steel materials in the factories and trades of machinery, construction and light
industry. It has the advantages of low power consumption, great power, small size; light weight,
compact structure, flexible operation, easy in use and maintenance.

This machine consists of motor, body, drivo syster, clutching system, operating section, etc. the
motor(l ) is fixed on the rear of the left and right support plates(15). The motor pu11ey(2) transfers
the power to the large pu1ley(4) throngh V-belt(3). The large pulley(4) and the bevel gear(5) are
coaxal and connected with keys. Another large bevel gear( 6) which is engaged with bevel gear( 5)
transfers the power to the eccentric shaft through axle(7) and a pair of spur gears(8,9), and
clutch(19). Because of the eccentric force of the eccentric axle, the connection rod (installed on the
eccentric axle) moves the large movable shear supporter(ll) up and down inside the body of the
machine. The movable sbear(l2) and upper shear(l3) as well as punch(l4). etc. are installed to the
large movable shear supporter. On the left support plate of the body corresponding frxed shear( 16),
lower shear(l 7) and punching die supporter(l 8) etc. are installed respectively. Because the movable.
The movable shear(12) and upper shear(13) as well as punch(l4), etc. are installed to the large
movable shear supporter. On the left support plate of the body corresponding fixed shear(16), lower
shear{l 7) and puncrung die supporter(l 8) etc. are installed respectively. Because the movable shear
moves up and down, back and fo various of shaped materials can be sheared benveen the
movable shear and the fixed shear and plate material can be sheared between upper and lower,
shears. Between the punch pin and punching die, punching hole and shearing can be done.
The distance between the centres of the two eccentric shafts is 15mm. The stroke of shear is
27mm. When the eccentric axis turns with a speed of 30 RPM, the shear will move up and down in
the same speed. that is. maximwn shearing frequency is 30 cuts I minute.
Reciprocating motion of movable shear supporter is controlled by clutch. The foot-operated
switch(20) is pressed down. The operating connection-rod(21) is moved by the metal flexible axis
to leave the striking handle of turning key(22). Under the action of extension spring(24), the turning
key(23) is turned out and combined with the gear and the eccentric axis is moved by the gear to
complete the reciprocating motion of the movable shear supporter. As the foot-operated switch is
freed, the operating connection-rod stands up to the striking handle of twning key and the turning
key stands back to the elute so the gear leaves the eccentric axis and then the movable shear
supporter shops.

4. The lubrication and maintenance of the machine
(1) The maintenance of the machine '· · ;
a. After the machine has been installed, cJean it and smear the machine with lubrication oil.
The machine will not be use4 tmtil it is sufficiently lubricated.
b. When the machine is running. pay attention to the temperature rise of shaft sleeve. beaing
and motor. The machine should be stopped touse is the temperature rise is too high.
c. The shears of call work positions and the impurities around should be cleaned in time.
d when each shift finishes its work, the machine must be cleaned, smeared with grease to
prevent it from rusting. If the machine is not used for a long time, the motor should be dismounted
and put in a dry place.
(2) The lubrication of the machine
Good lubrication method and correct lubrication oil c.an guarantee the normal running of the
machine and also can make its lifetime last longer. Therefore the user must pay attention to the
lubrication of the machine. CaJcium grease or lithium grease is used in this machine.
a The machine must be injected with fixed quantity of lubrication oil (grease) periodically in
accordance with the lubrication instruction.
b. The lubrication oil and grease should be stored in closed container and always kept clean.
c. If the machine is not used very often, the slide way must be smeared and always kept clean.
d. Lubrication Diagram.

@------Calcium grease, the grease cup should not be turned and pressed Jess than three times in
each shift.
@•--No. 30 machinery oil, oil, injection should not be less than four times in ea.ch shift.

5. The installation and use of the machine
(1) The inst.allation of the machine
The machine should be fixed on the ground screws before it is used Before it is instalJcd, a
concrete base should be Mads in accordance with the position showed in the diagram. (For the
installation. please refer to the attached schematic diagram).
Schematic Diagram for the Base
(2) Preparatio.- before use
a. Turn the large puJJey with hand and see whether itis conect in engagement of the gears.
b. Check all the parts to sec whether they are tightened. Tighten the loosed screw. Check whether the safty guard is reliable and whether there is any interference in-each part
c. The circuit, motor must be wired in accordance with the stipulated method and the
grounding must be connected securely. d The machine must be lubricated in accordance with the lubrication schematic diagram.
e. During the running-in test, if any abnormal ·noise is heard, it should be ·stopped at once.at
once to check the reason and repair it.
(3) Pobatl for attention in uaing the machine L Check whether the turning direction of inertia wheel is correct after starting the michine
The machine is not permitted to use when the turning direction is wrong.
b. If the material is sheared in batches. continuous shearing is pioosbile with a ston block for positioning.
c. ( I ) The angle, round and square steel arc sheared between the movable and fixed shears.
( ii ) The-plate steel, flat steel and rowid steel with a diameter of less than 11mm are shemd
between upper and lower shears. ( Ill ) The profiled angle (see the attached diagram) is sheared by the punch of profiled angle
· lad 1bo buc &bear. Holes can be punched between the punch pin and the die. . .
· ( Iv ) The ctiflaeut 5hears and punch pins can Jl()t used interchangeably or simultaneously.

L.70x7Qx6 Note: If it is necessary to shear the profiled
angle into the shape shown in Figure (2), if is
necessary to shear it into the shape shown Pigure
(1).
d. When the angle is sheared between the movable and fixed shears, the horseshoe shape in the
notch of the angle can be avoided by adjusting the height if supporting plate.
e. When the material is sheared by upper and lower shears, material should be made level by
supporting screw before it is sheared or else the shears would soon be broken.

f. The clearance of the she.a rs and punch pins (a) The clearance be1ween the two ends should be adjusted 10 become even afier being worn or
repaired. The adjusted clearance should be 3% of the thickness of the sheared plate.

( c) The die can not be used until it is adjusted to a homocentric. position with the punch pin by the screw.
(d) When long hole is punched, the round bole punch pin and the base die should be removed and the base die plate will be re-fixed after ii is turned by 180° . The punching can be done when the cleancance of the surrounding ends of the punch pin and die is adjusted to become even. (If the material plate is thicker then 6mm, the front base shear of the profiled angle must be removed.)
