Installing the Silicone Sheath CA Electric Wire and Charging Connector for V2H in the AdvancedDevelopment Project's Model No.3 SIM-CEL
Fujikura joined the development of the "Advanced Development Project's Model No. 3 SIM-CEL," which was announced by SIM-Drive Corporation in March 2013. Fujikura's silicone sheath CA*1 electric wire and charging connector for V2H*2 are adopted for SIM-CEL.
The elemental wire used in the silicone sheath CA electric wire retains the same level of surface corrosion resistance as a copper wire by covering copper around the aluminum wire and achieves both weight reduction and connection reliability. Silicone rubber, which is used for the sheath, has great flexibility, is easy to fit into a vehicle, and has excellent heat resistance. The charging connector for V2H, which is also installed in SIM-CEL, is lighter than the existing charging connector and provides excellent operability by adopting a straight-type charger that is easy to insert into the vehicle even from a low position.
This SIM-CEL can accelerate from zero to 100 km per hour in 4.2 seconds and has achieved running performance of 324 km per charge. Fujikura's products have contributed to weight reduction of SIM-CEL.

43rd International Electronic Circuits Exhibition (JPCA Show 2013)
Fujikura participates in a printed wiring board technology exhibit in the 43rd International Electronic Circuits Exhibition (JPCA Show 2013) to be held at Tokyo Big Sight.
In this exhibition, Fujikura will introduce inductive charging coil FPC, and waterproof FPC, which are highly demanded in mobile devices; device-embedded PCB WABE Package®, which helps make mobile devices smaller and thinner; film antennae; various micro coaxial cables(MCX); touch panel and touch key; and membrane products for medical care, nursing care, and health care.
DDK Ltd., one of our group companies, will introduce a super-flat, super-narrow pitch FPC connector and a PCB mounted compact coaxial connector.

DC1500V SOLAR-CQ
In the past, 600 V low-tension cables were commonly used in photovoltaic power facilities, such as mega solar power stations. However, with the growing demand for cables of increased capacitance, application of 1500V DC cable with conductor size up to 38 mm2 has been approved under the electrical equipment technical standards interpretation of Article 46, Paragraph (1) only for a photovoltaic power facility where entry is limited to engineers.
Fujikura has commercialized "1500 V DC SOLAR-CQ" and started to supply it from last year. This cable is thinner and more compact than the existing 600 V low-tension cable and has excellent workability. As bridging materials are used for both the insulator and the sheath, this cable has excellent heat resistance and weather resistance, and has long-term reliability suitable for a photovoltaic power plant.
Fujikura's 1500 V DC SOLAR-CQ can support not only single fiber type but also various requirements, such as single fiber twisted-pair type, duplex fiber type, and corrugated sheath type. Fujikura can also supply 1500 V DC SOLAR-CQ with a connector.
Because of its superior characteristics, this cable has won orders for large mega solar facilities. We will deliver about 100 km of cable through the first half of 2013.
Demand for the MPO connector, which is a multi-core connector, is growing in the case of high-speed, h igh-capacity transmiss ion. The mult i -core MPO connector cleaner is newly added to the single core optical connector cleaner One-ClickTM Cleaner series that has been well received since its initial release.
Both the plug and the end face of the connector inside the adapter can be cleaned with a single push.
With One-ClickTM series, Fujikura contributes to improve and stabilize the quality of transmission of the wiring using the MPO connector, as anyone can easily and effectively clean the end face of fiber optic connector or the plug.
Fujikura publishes a general catalog for the optical cable network products, such as optical fiber cables, optical termination boxes, optical closures and fiber fusion splicers, every year.
Fujikura has now published the 2013 version of Optical Cable Network Product Catalog.
The 2013 catalog introduces new products, including the palm-top fiber fusion splicer 12S/12R, the core alignment fiber fusion splicer 70S, One-ClickTM Cleaner MPO for multi-core fiber connector, and the redundancy optical switch.
