What to Expect:This fall, Compass will host its 5th Annual National FSS Conference, a one-

of-a-kind event that provides an opportunity for practitioners, thought

leaders, funders, and other FSS stakeholders from across the country to

come together in person for two days of learning and networking. The

conference includes interactive breakout sessions, plenary sessions, and

keynotes on topics such as innovations in the asset-building field, FSS

program management best practices, and financial coaching. In 2019, our

event drew over 160 attendees representing over 50 organizations and 18

states.

Why Attend:Compass believes it should be easy for FSS practitioners to access

knowledge and a community of support to provide families with the

resources to achieve financial success. That’s why we host this conference

each year. The National FSS Conference is designed to inspire you,

challenge you, and equip you with new ideas and tools to unlock the

potential of your FSS program with a community of peers who also care

deeply about the families they serve.

Last year’s speakers included leaders from the Department of Housing and

Urban Development, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, National

Consumer Law Center, University of California at Irvine Law, Credit Builders

Alliance, ideas42, Abt Associates, and others.
