A Proof Of Concept (POC) system was built on the Frontier infrastructure for functional testing of applications and operations. After the successful conclusion of the POC Frontier built out the production system and migrated data from existing systems. Frontier has considerable experience of migrating data to cloud based platforms and employed one of our standard migration processes that leverages “best of breed” cloning technologies to allow extensive application testing and reduce downtime during the migration process to just a few minutes at the “cut-over” point to the live production system.

In production the system benefits from the Frontier Monitoring Services which constantly measures and reports on metrics including VM performance, CPU/RAM/IO resource utilisation and storage latency and provides trend analysis used to plan for resource and capacity upgrades. Importantly the service provides a login to the Frontier Service Portal which provides a view of “real time” performance.

Frontier also provide a comprehensive range of support services from our London Operations Centre, as well as providing second and third line infrastructure support we advise on strategic factors such as the most effective MPLS network design for performance, reliability and value.

The partnership formed with this client ensures that their business and operation objectives are met with Frontier providing the infrastructure resource and support and the client the application platform services in-house. In addition to this application infrastructure Frontier has also providing many other services and solutions to this client, including Cisco voice and network, Citrix based application access, network security consultancy and on-premise infrastructure design and deployment services
