Epilepsy Conveners:
Dear All,
While it is well known that Bengaluru is the IT and knowledge capital of the country; NIMHANS, an Institute of National Importance, is one of Asia’s leading neuroscience research and teaching centers. The Department of Neurology at NIMHANS is dedicated to training of students in Neurology and is one of the major contributors to manpower development in Neurology in India. With this National mandate, the Department of Neurology at NIMHANS is conducting an unique Annual CME Program in Neurology, entitled “Annual Reviews in Practical Neurology” (ARPrAN) since 2018. This program, a first of its kind, will focus on three specialties of Neurology each year. In each specialty there will be plenary lectures, dedicated symposia, hot topics, video and imaging sessions, case discussions, and quiz for neurology residents. The primary aim of the program is to offer comprehensive reviews to the participants in different subspecialties of Neurology.
Last year; 3 subsections of Neurology (Stroke, Movement Disorders, CNS Demyelination) were reviewed. This year, the reviews will comprehensively focus on Cognition, Epilepsy & Neuromuscular
th thDisorders. This program is scheduled from 16 - 18 of August 2019 at NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The program will be an intensive one, primarily for the residents in neurology and post graduates in medicine and other relevant streams, and for young neurologists and internists. The faculty members are experts in their field. We cordially invite you to register early to attend this teaching program. We are confident that it will be a great academic exercise.
