The I-5 Irvine & Tustin Improvements Project (Project) is evaluating ways to improve the I-5 freeway between I-405 and SR-55, in the cities of Irvine and Tustin. Each day, 350,000 motorists drive this nine-mile stretch of freeway and by 2050 daily tra�c is anticipated to increase to nearly ½ million. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in partnership with Caltrans is proposing the addition of one general- purpose (regular) lane in each direction and improvements to select interchanges to address projected demand and improve mobility. The project is currently in the environmental review process.

Public Comments are Welcome fromMay 8 - June 8, 2018

OCTA and Caltrans are hosting two public hearings (open house format) for the Project. Attendees will receive one-on-one updates from project team members and view exhibit boards. Please attend a hearing to learn more about the proposed project and submit public comments on the alternatives, design variations and related issues.

El Proyecto de Mejoras a la I-5 en Irvine y Tustin (Proyecto) está evaluando maneras de mejorar la Interestatal 5 entre la Interestatal 405 (I-405) y la Ruta Estatal 55 (SR-55), en las ciudades de Irvine y Tustin. Cada día, 350.000 automovilistas manejan este tramo de nueve millas de la autopista y se anticipa que este número aumente a cerca de medio millón de automovilistas diariamente en 2050. La Autoridad de Transporte de Orange County (OCTA) en colaboración con Caltrans propone agregar un carril de uso general (regular) en dirección norte y sur y mejorar algunos intercambios para cumplir con la demanda proyectada y mejorar la movilidad. El proyecto se encuentra actualmente en el proceso de revisión ambiental.

Por favor asista a una audiencia pública para aprender más sobre el proyecto propuesto y envié sus comentarios sobre las alternativas, las variaciones de diseño y temas relacionados.
