Moderation Moderation is creating balance in your life between work, play and rest. It is about having or doing enough of something—not too much, not too little, but just the right amount. If you study all the time or rest all the time it is not being moderate.

CHAPLAIN NEWS
Last Thursday was a lot of fun with our free dress and cake stall. With the help of the year 6 Values leaders we also collected up the 5 Cent Challenge collection jars and together we raised an amazing $700.60! A big thank you to everyone for your support of our challenge which raises money for education projects in poor communities and special mention to the year 6 girls and their families who provided the delicious goodies for our cake stall. This year we have raised a fantastic total of $2,766.35 which will open doors of opportunity for those caught in poverty. Thank you also to the school community for your generous support of our Christmas hampers. At the carols assembly last Friday we were able to present over 22 hampers to Mr and Mrs Harris from Coastal District Care. Mr and Mrs Harris were deeply moved by the School’s kindness and expressed their heartfelt gratitude and shared that the hampers will be a valuable help to those in need this Christmas. Wishing you all a blessed Christmas season and I look forward to seeing you in 2019.

CANTEEN
The canteen will need volunteers for Term 1 2019. There is a roster up outside the canteen or you can text 0430 141 282. The canteen will re-open on February 4, 2019. A reminder about our online ordering is quickcliq.com.au . Julie Green Canteen Manager
School Banking Our students really enjoy participating in the Commonwealth Bank School Banking program but to keep this program running we need help. The program requires two volunteers to facilitate the banking and distribution of school banking rewards. The Commonwealth Bank provides support on how to run the program and with a number of volunteers this usually requires a commitment of about 5 mornings a term for approximately 1 hour. Your help with the program will greatly benefit students as they develop vital saving skills and also help our School with fundraising. Currently school banking is on Thursday mornings at 8.20am in the canteen. If you are interested in Volunteering please contact Lori Nash on 0410 501 533.
