FROM THE DESK OF MONSIGNOR HEITING
JESUS HAS RISEN FROM THE DEAD – ALLELUIA!
A very happy and blessed Easter to each of you and to your families as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Alleluia! Special thanks to all choir members and musicians, liturgy committee members, sacristans, church decorators, and all other parishioners who helped to make our Holy Week and Easter liturgies the special and prayerful events that they were. God bless you for your work and generosity!
YOU ARE INVITED…
Would you be interested in attending the Bishop’s and Rector’s Dinner of IHM Seminary in Winona? This dinner is the seminary’s annual fundraising event. As our seminary continues it’s major renovation project, the focus now is on installing an elevator. The dinner will be held on Sunday, April 22nd in Winona. If you are interested in going, the parish will pay for your dinner ticket as our contribution to the seminary. Please let me know of your interest as soon as possible.
COMPANY IS COMING…
Representatives from Blest Art, a company that sells religious goods made in the Holy Land, will be at our parish cluster the weekend of April 21-22nd. This is a great opportunity to do shopping for children and young people you know who are going to make First Communion, or who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall.
WE ARE ON THE WAY…
The 2018 Catholic Ministries Appeal for the Diocese of Winona is in full swing. Thank you very much to those parishioners who have already made their donation to this appeal. If you have not yet done so, please prayerfully consider how much you may be able to contribute either as an individual or as a family. Our parish goals for the appeal are: Saint Gabriel Parish, Fulda - $13,300.00; Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Currie - $9,240.00; Saint Anthony Parish, Westbrook - $4,730.00.

Respect Life~ Defending the preborn is not simply a “hobby” or a political ideology. It is spirituality, an aspect of one’s
discipleship of Christ. You can study and commit to live the spirituality of being pro-life and the particular virtues that go with it, by visiting MissionariesoftheGospelofLife.com. By doing this you will be given specific reading material that will deepen your understanding of the pro-life movement, such as Fr. Frank Pavone’s books Ending Abortion, Not Just Fighting It, Pro-life Reflections for Every Day, and Abolishing Abortion, along with Janet Morana’s book Recall Abortion. Another great book is Abandoned, by Prof. Monica Migliorino Miller. Prof. Miller is also involved with the Red Rose Rescue movement. By seeking this information, you will be able to connect with and be encouraged by like-minded people around the world who are also committed to this spirituality.
Mission of Love~ The picture on the right is of one of the Guatemala children who received a
love gift in the past. Currently $240.00 has been collected! We will send the money to the mission after Easter. Money (cash) or checks can be made out to Hearts of Love in an envelope and put in the collection basket!
