Dear parents, carers and friends of our school,

Please remember that your child’s attendance at school is very important. Lessons will continue for all classes until the end of the year and your child is expected to be at school on time each day.

THANK YOU

Thank you for your patience last week whilst we used Rigney Street for our school buses. It was pleasing to see that most students and parents used the area safely and stayed out of the area that had been sectioned off for the arrival and departure of our school buses.

SOUTH PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

On Friday I received word that our long-awaited playground equipment is almost ready for installation. I was told that the installation process will begin on Wednesday. I will keep you updated with photos of the installation.

CAR PARK GATE

Please remember not to use our staff carpark as an entry and exit point when dropping off and collecting your child. It is not a safe access point for students to our school site. Recently parents have been exiting with their children through this gate and allowing them to swing on the gate as it opens. Unfortunately, this has damaged the gate and it will now need to be repaired.

PARLIAMENT SPEECHES

Congratulations to all the students who presented their speech on Friday. It was enjoyable to listen to this group of Year 5 students as they spoke to the staff and students about why they should be part of our 2020 Parliamentarian group. The Premiers and Parliamentarians will be announced at our Presentation Day assembly on Wednesday 11 December.

NUF NUF

On Thursday 12 December we have our final NUF NUF day for 2019. Please ensure you send in the $3 as soon as possible. It would be wonderful to have all of the payments in by Wednesday as it can tend to get very busy on the day if a lot of students are trying to pay.

ENROLMENTS AND CLASSES FOR 2020

The final date for the Parent Input Forms is this Friday, 29 November. Please hand them in to the school office. Please do not email or send in another note. This year only input completed on the correct form will be considered. Thank you.

TOMAREE HIGH SCHOOL TOUR, PARENT INFORMATION EVENING and YEAR 6 DISCO

Next Monday afternoon Year 6 families are invited to a tour of Tomaree High School at 5:30pm followed by an information evening at 6:10pm. This will be an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the school grounds as well as finding out some important information in readiness for your child’s attendance there next year. If you have a child attending THS next year I strongly recommend you attend this event.

LOST PROPERTY

Please remember to continue to collect your child’s lost property from school. Each day more lunch boxes, drink bottles and jumpers are added to the lost property area.
