From Foreign Power Era To Inter-Korean Era and From Division To Reunification

Purpose: Along with the rising of the Korean Peninsula détente after Pyongyang inter-Korean

summit in June 15, 2000, World Korea Forum has been bridged to public diplomacy as the

representative annual global forum all over the five oceans & six continents which participating 200

attendees from fifteen countries until 2018 at present since launched World Korea Forum Discourse

Platform to proliferate Korean Peace Unification Value, and solidarity cooperation for global Society

opinion leader. Align with the centennial anniversary “3.1 Movement”, 2019 20th, World Korea

Forum “Global World Congress” will be held in New York Columbia University under the slogan “Time

to Peacekeeping Stability Reunification” with 300 participants including the political leaders, scholars,

experts in pursuit of building the stepping stone for international understanding cooperation of

historical development in peace turning point which promoted from 2018 inter-Korean summit, WKF

attributes 20years historically experienced capability and network to shed new light on the Americas

Korean Diaspora Movement, and to review the practical frame with the times for the Korean

Peninsula unification vision.

Programmed from July 1st to July 3rd, 2019, WKF will consist of 1st part “Designing the Korean

Peninsula Peace Unification in Global Society and 2nd part “Strengthening of Overseas Korean

Unification Power and Economic Power”, and will see the great chapter with discourse about the

Korean Peninsula Peace Prosperity from the global opinion leaders. As the festive programs, “Peace

Culture Festival” and “A Proud Korean Prize” will be accompanied, and echoed the peace voice all

over the America.

Expectation: The influential leaders in global society such as politic, education, economy, social and

culture, the representative of global Korean society, the major mass media from home and abroad

will be participating in 2019 20th World Korea Forum, which is spotlighted the international

understanding for independence movement history “March 1st Movement 100th anniversary,

together with regained peace, refreshed start, and expand the wave evolution toward unification

modern history from divided modern history as a new challenge, it is anticipated to build up the

amicable ally with support and encouragement in global society understanding through World Korea

Forum. Especially the dissertation book around 600 pages will be distributed to major research

institutes in home and abroad universities, and be utilized as reference book to study the Korean

Peninsula, and highly contributed the historical viewed education for next generation, and will be

the Koreanology resource in politics and human science.
