April 2020 FROM CYNTHIA A. PARKER, PRESIDENT & CEO I hope that you and your families are healthy and safe, and that you are navigating these uncertain times as well as possible. Please know that all of us at BRIDGE are doing our best to ensure that residents and employees are well-cared for. Our Resident Programs team is coordinating with service partners to serve residents' most urgent needs. We have adjusted operational protocols at all BRIDGE locations per CDC and public health guidelines. And we continue to press ahead with our mission, as this crisis only magnifies the importance of stable, affordable homes and strong communities. Many thanks to you, our partners and friends, for your continued support and good wishes. You truly inspire BRIDGE in our mission to strengthen communities and improve people's lives. $35M FOR WATTS The large-scale redevelopment of Jordan Downs received a major boost this month under a $35M HUD Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (CNI) grant awarded to the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. "Receiving a CNI award for Jordan Downs is wonderful for the partnership teams, but more importantly for the community," said Cynthia A. Parker, BRIDGE President & CEO. "It will allow us to forge ahead with two new phases of affordable housing, and to assist our residents and the broader Watts community." Pictured above: the CNI team on the day of the HUD interview.
