Assessment Evidence (Stage 2)Performance Task Description

The goal is for teachers to become familiar with the SoftChalk software, so that they can utilize it in order to increase student learning.

Teacher’s will bring their laptop computers to the presentation so that thy will be able to work step-by-step in the SoftChalk program in order to increase understanding.

Other EvidenceQuestion and Answer as the lesson is being presented. Answer the essential question.

Learning Plan (Stage 3)1. Room Setup2. Make sure technology is functioning properly. 3. Introduction to the software and an overview of how it can be beneficial. Let teacher know that Hall

County has already purchase this software.4. Demonstrate how to logon using Hall County credentials. Encourage attendees to also logon and follow

along.5. Ask if you were able to engage in a “flipped classroom” when Hall County was out several days because

of inclement weather.6. Let the teachers know that all created content is saved on SoftChalk Cloud and the benefits of using the

cloud in their content creation.7. Explain the interface in the home page of the SoftChalk program.

8. Hover over “My Content” and then lead the teachers to double click on the create content button to open the create content page.

9. Discuss the ribbon on the content page and highlight the fact that it is very similar to a word processing ribbon.

10. Demonstrate adding content and how easy it is to manipulate the data.11. Encourage participants to explore the content page.12. Demonstrate how you can add different assessment tools such as: True/False, Matching, Short

Answer, Eassy, etc,13. Show how to preview the inputted content can be previewed in the browser.14. Save work through SoftChalk Cloud, demonstrating how to name the created lesson15. Demonstrate how to access the public folder from the SoftChlk home page in order to view and

then edit other lessons that have been published using SoftChalk.16. Question and Answer Segment17. Inform teachers a survey will be given via email.
