Date: 6/8/16 Supervisor: Lower Professional Characteristic Rating Notes Demeanor: self-confidence, follows procedures, teamwork, appearance, timeliness (daily & plans), response to supervision 5 Thanks so much for being on time daily and ready in the room with a smile on your face! It doesn’t go unnoticed! You seem really excited to be here and to genuinely be enjoying the kids. THANKS for that! It means everything. Behavior Management: uses positive discipline, maintains group attention to task, reinforces expectations 4 Seeing you setting a timer for sharing for the kids. Awesome use of a clear strategy so that they don’t have to get upset and feel slighted. It helps so much when we’re consistent with our strategies. You’re warm and keeping them engaged, and this is always our first line of defense with them against behavior anyway – being fun and fully present, they don’t feel like they need to dissolve to get our attention. Response Reinforcement: reinforces goals of LEAPsters in the classroom, uses appropriate language/models for their needs 4 You’re being a fun and engaged communicative and play partner. This is exactly what I hope to see when I look through the window! You’re providing a great language model and increasing confidence for our kids who are working on articulation by being responsive to their language and showing them you understand them.
