Frederick Irwin Anglican School – Strategic Plan 2013 - 2016

1

Foreword This Strategic Plan has been developed to provide strong and purposeful direction for Frederick Irwin Anglican School over the next four years. While there is a degree of flexibility in such a plan, allowing new ideas and needs to be accommodated if necessary, the Plan has a clear structure which will facilitate the future advancement of our School. The Plan offers exciting new directions as well as the opportunity to further develop areas of excellence in the education of our students and our undertaking to develop the ‘whole’ child. An important characteristic of the Plan is its alignment to the Anglican Schools Commission Strategic Plan (2012 – 2016) and the Mission direction of the Diocese of Bunbury. A consultation phase has been essential to the successful development of the Strategic Plan. Council recognises that the depth and detail of information offered by a wide range of members of the school community has enabled a comprehensive picture of our strategic direction to be created. The detailed reports from all workshops and surveys will be retained and remain available for reference during the life of the Plan, while progress will be regularly reported to the school community. We would like to thank the students, staff members and parents who participated in the consultation phase, as well as The Reverend Peter Laurence, Chief Executive Officer of the Anglican Schools Commission, and Bishop Allan Ewing, Bishop of Bunbury, for their contribution. Council would also like to express its thanks and sincere appreciation to Dr Liz Pattison, who facilitated the development of the Plan. It is with some excitement that we now enter the implementation phase of the Strategic Plan (2013 – 2016). We look forward with confidence to working together as a whole school community to deliver on the Plan for the future of Frederick Irwin Anglican School. Ms Kerry Robertson Mrs Faye Wells Principal Chair of Council January 2013
