Fellow Eagles, The New Year has come. It was started on a sad note with the passing of one of our newest and youngest Aerie members Chris Brown. A fundraiser was held on Jan 04, 2019 and members of Eagles #3996 and Eagles #2250 raised over $3,600 to help his mother April Brown (of Ypsilanti Eagles Aerie Member #2250), her sons (our three Joes) and Sevin, our youngest Aerie member, with their expenses in this trying time. Thank you to all who participat-ed and showed what being an Eagle is all about. People Helping People. We had a Ventriloquist Comedy show with Brian Bosman and his pal C.D. on the 26th of January. A fun time was had by all.
We will be having our annual Super bowl party on February 3, 2019. See the Trustees if you need a ticket ($100 per pair). I look forward to the coming year. I know our club can do nothing but grow. I am looking for
someone to replace Tela Fountain who is stepping down on Mar 1st from her position on the entertainment committee, and a per-son to replace Barb Tomlinson as Auditor. If interested in either position please contact me.
Fraternally, John Watkins -Worthy President

EAGLE RIDERS 3996 NEWS
Last moth's article had the calendar of our major events please mark them on you calendar.
STEAK ROAST DATES: HOG ROAST: May 17, 2019 September 28, 2019 June 21, 2019 July 19, 2019 August 16, 2019 At the general business meeting on Jan 16, the Aerie approved nine new members and had the first reading for a number of additional prospects. Getting new members is as easy as asking someone who is at the Aerie as a guess if they would like to join. I know I hear many people say I don't sell. LOL, until we want some-thing our spouses don't want us to have then we whine
and whimper until we get our way. That is selling so we all do sell a little bit. Try to ask a guest next time you get a chance. I know some will say why do the Eagle Riders talk about new members?....because it should be all of our goals to help grow the organization. So please give it a try. Besides you get a free drink. Every Memorial Day weekend sees an activity in Wash-ington DC called Rolling Thunder and we are going to go this year. It is going to be the last year. It is open to anybody if you would like to go contact me. Right now all rooms are booked in the area but I have feelers out and would be glad to put you on a list. -Jack Bogan

Fellow Members,
Sorry this is so late, but I want to thank
everyone who helped and participated in
the Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. I was so
glad to see the participation of the mem-
bers and help and all the donations that
were given. We had approximately 200 sen-
iors and they enjoyed the dinner, enter-
tainment and door prizes. All was appreci-
ated immensely. Thank you again and
hope to have as much for next year!
Sincerely,
Joyce Rochowiak
