Rod YoungCHAIRMAN AND FOUNDER
Rod is considered one of the world’s leading franchise consultants with over 35 years’ at the forefront of franchising, licensing and business development in Australia, Europe, China, South East Asia, India and the United States.
He is a versatile management professional with an immense depth of experience establishing the region’s premier franchise advisory, consulting, legal and recruiting firm which has been a key advisor to some of the world’s leading networks and brands. As well as his role as Chairman of the DC Strategy Group, he has served on the boards of a raft of national and international companies including Hairhouse Warehouse (Australian Franchisor of the Year 2011), Poolwerks (Australian Franchisor of the Year 2017), Cartridge World, Total Tools and EyeQ to name a few. He is also Global CEO of Cartridge World, a 600 store, 30 country global franchise network founded in Australia and now based in Chicago.
Rod contributes extensively to major media including television, radio and print as well as being a regular speaker at national and international seminars and conferences. He has lectured in franchising University Undergraduate and MBA Degree Programs in Australia and China and contributed to the Certified Franchise Executive Program in the US. He has been elected to the Board of Governors of the ASEAN Franchise Association and the Indian Franchise Association, traveling constantly to maintain international relationships on every continent.
Rod is a passionate advocate and mentor for businesses looking to expand through the many distribution models such as franchising, licensing distributorships and dealer networks as well as joint venture and corporately operated outlets. He has provided strategic advice and assistance in implementing growth strategies for countless companies, looking to increase their enterprise value. His broad range and depth of experience, coupled with a prodigious expertise and knowledge of distribution strategy and a wide domestic and international network make him a highly valued asset to organisations looking to grow sales and profitability, penetrate new markets, expand their brand authority and increase Enterprise Value.

Nina RossiLEGAL DIRECTOR
With years of experience in business law and litigation, franchise law, intellectual property and commercial law, backed by a history of managing clients legal challenges, Nina has a track record of dealing with legal issues on a pragmatic and commercial basis to avoid the costly mistakes that often result in litigation.
She has hands-on experience with many networks and brands which gives her a unique perspective in the day to day operational and commercial concerns of franchisors and franchisees operating in business today. She writes regularly for a range of franchise business publications on the issues associated with franchise law and practice.
Nina has an incisive mind and broad skill set coupled with many years specialising in IP and business law which makes her a highly valued advisor to DC Strategy’s domestic and international clients.
James YoungGENERAL MANAGER - FRANCHISE RECRUITMENT
James Young has 15 years of experience in the franchise industry. He has recruited, screened and had clients select candidates and grant franchisees for well over 50 emerging and major franchise networks in Australia and internationally.
His hands-on experience as a State Development Licensee in two Australian States, a multi-unit franchisee and his role as a national recruitment and a leasing executive negotiating and securing retail locations provide our clients with practical, down-to-earth experience in building profitable franchise networks. This hands-on experience on both sides of franchising gives him a unique perspective, which is complemented by his business studies where he majored in marketing.
In addition, he has assisted franchisors with exit strategies to crystallise Enterprise Value and franchisees looking to sell their existing franchise businesses A superb negotiator, strategist and networker, James’ genuine warmth, insight and commitment bring franchisors and franchisees together to create lasting synergies.

Holly BarnesHEAD OF LEAD GENERATION
Holly began her career in journalism after studying in South Africa. She made the move to London in 2013 where she changed her focus to marketing, working for a publishing and events company servicing different industries and subsequently moved to Australia.
Holly has been a key part of DCS Sales and Marketing team since 2017. Her main focus is on building and delivering exceptional lead generation strategies and also continues to expand the firms brand presence from a digital marketing perspective.
Jin GohSENIOR CONSULTANT
An engineer and marketer by training, Jin has varied professional experience across many different fields, from industrial & scientific research, financial services, technology, marketing, professional services and F&B. Throughout his career, he has worn many hats; consultant, marketer, designer, recruiter, entrepreneur.
Jin has particular professional interests in applying technology to human challenges, and bridging the communications gap between the commercial and technical. A Senior Consultant at DC Strategy, he brings his broad expertise to generate unique insights to his clients’ business challenges, creating new synergies through the application of people, processes and technology.
Harry ProskefalasSENIOR CONSULTANT
Harry is a rarity in the franchise industry, having a very broad skill-set in all the commercial, operational and recruitment aspects of franchising. Harry identifies with all perspectives of franchising being a previous franchisee, franchisor and corporate executive.
He’s worked with start-ups and multinationals from retail, hospitality, tourism, professional services and governments departments. Harry brings an impressive work ethic and tireless dedication to his client’s needs with a real passion to seeing them grow and forming part of their success journey.
