Founder’s Day:Founder’s Day:Founder’s Day:Founder’s Day: Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally was filled with festivity on 1 July 2019 ,

as it was a dual celebration of our Silver Jubilee -25 years of Excellence and

Investiture Ceremony. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the

knowledge lamp by the Chief guest Col.Aravindan followed by our chairman

Mr.M.Komariah and principal Mr. N.S. Srinivas.

Students of middle block set the ball rolling with a spectacular dance

performance. It was followed by the Investiture ceremony of the newly

elected student council. The celebrations continued with the distribution of

All Rounder prizes and the much awaited felicitation of teachers who had

completed a decade and two in our school.

Our Chairman Mr. M. Komariah appreciated the teachers for their

contribution in achieving 100% results in the board exams. He also fondly

reminisced his journey with Pallavi Model School and promised to continue

contributing in the field of education and help students realise their dreams.

Inter House Book review competitionInter House Book review competitionInter House Book review competitionInter House Book review competition:::: On the Occasion of J.K.Rowling’s birthday, “A woman who changed the childhood of the entire generation” an Inter House Book Review Competition was held for grade VII. Books authored by J.K. Rowling were reviewed. The students showcased their analysing and summarizing skills and inspired the audience with their reviews.

various parts. The hands on learning helped them to learn about plant

delivered an interactive session on the topic Sustainable

Development goals, Sustainable consumption and Production to

students of grades V, VI and VII. The main goal was to create

awareness about the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs)

to be achieved by 2030.The session helped students to develop

insights into issues around the world.

author visit session for students of grade V as

part of the ongoing National Reading Month

celebrations.

Ms. Arti Santhalia, renowned author of

books like Hungry to Read, M-Me etc.

interacted with students and delivered a

stimulating talk on the importance of Reading

along with valuable insights about her books.

o HandwritingHandwritingHandwritingHandwriting Workshop:Workshop:Workshop:Workshop: “Handwriting reflects personality.” A 10 days handwriting

workshop is being held for grades VI and VII to help them

perfect their letter formation and acquire good handwriting

skills. Good handwriting enhances the reading fluency of

students as well because it activates their visual perception of

letters.

o Haritha HaramHaritha HaramHaritha HaramHaritha Haram:::: Students of Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally joined hands with

students of NIEPID on the occasion of Haritha Haram Green

challenge programme – an initiative to make Telangana greener,

cleaner and pollution free. The event was presided by our principal

Mr. N.S.Srinivas and Ms. Nibedita Patnaik (HOD –Special Ed).

The students planted the saplings with zeal and our principal

urged the students as brand ambassadors to take up the

cause of increasing our green cover and protect our

environment.

An In House event of the same was organised to instill

awareness and foster a commitment towards environmental

issues and solutions amongst students.

o Teachers of Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally conducted an

awareness programme to sensitise students of grades V, VI &

VII on personal hygiene, respect for body space and ground

rules on personal safety.

o NIE Film Fest:NIE Film Fest:NIE Film Fest:NIE Film Fest: Students of grade VII were part of the Film Fest organised by NIE

Times. A special screening of the movie WALL- E was held at Hari

Hara Kala Bhavan on 30 July 2019.Students thoroughly enjoyed

the screening as movies are a great source of pleasure and delight.

♦ Telangana Yoga Culture Association along with Gurucharan

Yoga Kendra had organised the Vth State Level Yoga

Competition on 21 July 2019 at Moti Nagar. Our students

proved their prowess in this ancient art and cinched various

awards. Our Yoga Teacher Ms. Uma Kannan received a

Certification of Appreciation for her exceptional coaching.
