Welcome to the Fort Worth Classic Red Angus Auction!The past couple of dought years have certainly taken their toll on cattle herds
and the spirits of producers in Texas. If you are reading this letter, chances are youare a survivor and looking to the future of cattle production. When we startedsearching for cattle for this auction, we knew the challenges ahead of us. As youbegin studying this catalog, you will note that it is small without an enormousamount of lots. In fact, it was suggested that maybe we “pull the plug” on thisyear’s auction . . . my answer . . . . “not a chance!” Dynamite comes in smallpackages and this 2013 Fort Worth offering may be as instrumental to the RedAngus industy as any in the past.The only way to be in the cattle business is to stay in the cattle business. If you
are still ready to “play the game” and raise Red Angus cattle, I encourage you tocome and support this auction. The quality will be second-to-none withopportunities to buy live cattle, embryos and flushes in some of the top Red Anguscattle in the world! registered Red Angus cattle since 1973. I have never seen the demand and interestas high in Red Angus cattle as I have the past 18 months. As drought areas restocktheir pastures, RED will be in the forefront of the restocking movement due to RedAngus’ cattle ability to utilize feed stuffs more efficiently and produce morepounds on less feed than any other beef breed in the industry (not to mention theirability for heat tolerance compared to their black counterparts).
